First of all i would call up Sergei Kostitsyn, and play him with his brother like he would be doing on any other team that isnt Montreal..Carbo

Tanguay - Koivu - D'Agostini (line was hot before Tangs went down)
Pacioretty - Plekanec - Kovalev (also had its moments, Pacs with Kovy worked)
Kostitsyn - Metropolit - Kostitsyn (play the 2 bros together, metro has good hands)
Higgins - Lapierre - Kostopoulos (Checking line)

Markov - Komisarek
Schneider - O'Byrne
Hamrlik - Gorges

and for when the playoffs start..(hoping Lang can make it back)

Tanguay - Koivu - D'Agostini
Pacioretty - Plekanec - Kovalev
Kostitsyn - Lang - Kostitsyn
Higgins - Lapierre - Latendresse

Tanguay - Koivu - D'Agostini
- the line was on fire before Tanguay's injury. Let's see if they can get it back.

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Kovalev
- we need to move Kostitsyn from this line. Kovalev and Pleks have been working well together lately, but Andrei has been invisible. Pacioretty gives this line a really hard worker.

Higgins - Lapierre - A. Kostitsyn
- similar to the Higgins - Plekanec - A. Kostitsyn line that was so good a few years ago. i know that Lapierre doesn't have the offensive tools Plekanec does, but he's a hard worker and good things will come. I also think that giving Kostitsyn control of his own line will let him prove how effective he can be. I think Higgins could return to goal scoring form with Kostitsyn's skill surrounding him.

Stewart - Metropolit - Kostopoulos
- Pretty decent energy line, though Metropolit doesn't quite fit the bill. We really need a shutdown line center, but Gainey failed to pick up on a Pahlsson type player. Either way, for a fourth line, this could be great. Only Kostopoulos should play more than 10 minutes though.

Markov - Komisarek
- lets face it, since Scheinder joined our club, we have looked worse defensively. Even if our PP is better, we need to change it up in the back end. this pairing worked for so long that we might as well give it a shot.

Hamrlik - O'Byrne
- O'Byrne looked great during his last stint with the club. it was sad to see him sent down, but he's back now. i'd definitely give him his spot back on the 2nd pairing with Hammer, hopefully he can play like he did last time

Gorges - Scheinder
- by default, this is what we have left. we need all our d-men to step up, but this could quietly be the best 3rd pairing in all of hockey.

Halak
- plain and simple, he's winning games at a crucial time.

Send D'Ago and Pacioretty down to Hamilton to get some ice time. Send up Conboy as a scratch.

Dago sent back. Brisebois sits in favor of O'byrne or Dandenault.

Can't believe we've been seeing Brisebois the last few games while Dandy and O'B have been available. IMO, when the team sees that there is justice in this world; i.e, Brisebois sitting, we will see a turnaround. Book it.

That will be the worst, miserable, shameful 1,000 game mark in the individual player history of the NHL. Period. And yes, I'm on his case. But in my defence, I said what the impact would be very early this season.

I agree 100%. That is why I have had no hesitation since early in the season saying that there is no way in hell that the Habs will win the Cup this year. Every GM in the League has been laughing and laughing and laughing since Bob completely crippled the Habs D in the off-season. Brisebois QBing the D indeed

Yeah, because a lot of teams have better #7's than Brisebios.

The fact is, O'Byrne came out of the gate horribly (he has been playing good of late though).. but he started off poorly. We also had injuries to Komisarek and Bouillon, which have kept Brisebois in the lineup. In a ideal world, he was meant to play 25ish games this season, max. That's why the possibility of a 2-year deal was talked about in the off-season, but Gainey decided to go with a 1-year deal incase O'Byrne wasn't ready and he'd get his games in.

However, not addressing our team need of a solid d-man at the deadline was a poor decision. Brisebois had a good playoffs last year, but I don't expect him to produce that many points again.

People can ***** and complain about not winning the cup with Brisebois (which I've already witnessed), etc. But the fact is, that if our #6/#7 D-Man is the reason we are going to win the Stanley Cup, the problems are a lot deeper. A lot deeper.

It doesn't help that Hamrlik has had a mediocre year, or Gorges game has fallen back after an incredible start, or Komisarek has looked like your average run-of-the-mill defensive defesenman. It doesn't help that Kovalev has floated for most of the year, or Koivu/Tanguay missed a lot of time with injuries. It doesn't help that our goaltending (until Halak stepped up) has been mediocre for the majority of the season. It doesn't help that we have no real shutdown center and/or line. It doesn't help that Sergei completely bombed the season. It doesn't help that our coach doesn't realize one of our best offensive players is stuck in useless heaven.

So really, if we are going to blame not winning the cup on our #6 or #7 guys (Bouillon, Brisebois, etc).. we are just looking at ways to not bash the real situation.. our team, as a whole, hasn't showed up too many times this season.

I so hope you're right. Dandenault and O'Byrne need to be playing in his place.
