I don't think I'm wrong in saying that first period may have been the worst of the season. Brutal to watch. Terrible effort tonight

Stevens acknowledged it was a "butt whooping" from start to finish. He called our entire line-up (except Biron) "awful", "men against boys", among other things.
And Lazy Lupul called it "unacceptable", which it is at this crucial point of the season.

Just another damn game I will choose to pretend never happened.Ugh. A lot of those lately

My point was that Biron had a clear view of almost every shot

-knowing the roster was fully healthy
-knowing the team has a slightly new look
-knowing other teams have a new look too
-knowing everyone's got their rosters set now and stepping up their game for the playoff run ... (supposedly including the flyers)
-briere's injury and the timing of it, as far as how long he was out vs. how long he's been back, closeness to the playoffs, day after the deadline, the painful moves we made to clear space, etc.

Add em up and you get the single biggest ****ing disaster of the season.

****.

The Leafs beat the Capitals lastnight, they too have a different looking roster...one of those players being Gerber. Guess we should have claimed Gerber, eh?

Ossi and Metro have very little to do with those losses, if any at all. Ossi would have found his way back into the press box (not that I agree with it) with the return of Timonen, and Metro was hardly an impact player with his limited role.

Lastnight we had a disgusting first period (the entire team stunk), and managred to tightened up after that. Unfortunately, the damage was done and the so was the momentum.

Not that it makes it any easier, or less painful...but we were 1-1 in the final 40 minutes once Biron came in and things got settled down.

Too little, too late.

Regroup for the next one!

Sometimes, not all the time, it has more to do with their impact on the team and not their impact on the game itself. Same with Upshall.

Now moving on to Nashville though...they've won 6 in a row.

I can agree with that to some extent, but that's part of the business. I know they are human like you and I, but come game time, they need to suck it up and play the game with the personel they have on the ice in the dressing room.

It's not like the Flyers are the only team dealing with change.

Nashville won't be easy, I look forward to seeing how the boys respond.

That may have been the worst game I've been to in 5 years. And I went to 9 games in the nightmare season.

IT's funny, I swore that I had never seen the Flyers play Calgary before, but as they fell down 4-0 in the first, I unsuppressed a memory of being at a game the flyers lost I believe 8-0 to the Flames in the 80s.

Now I find out Briere is hurt?

Ooooofah

Hey Benny, why did you have to pay?

I thought I read somewhere that you had center ice?

Because I am considered in the Western region, I fell under Calgarys PPV rules, so it was not available anywhere on CI.

Ahhh, gotcha.

That ****ing sucks dude.

So am I reading this right, the Flames charge $15.95 for a single hockey game? Or does it unlock a block of games?

I'd imagine it will be Pekka Rinne, who has taken over the starter duties from Ellis.

Ellis soon?: Trotz said goalie Dan Ellis, who hasn't started a game since Feb. 18, will likely see some action soon. Pekka Rinne has been a little under the weather lately, but he started Thursday's game despite sitting out practice Wednesday.

"I actually went into Ellie and said, 'Make sure you're sharp, get yourself ready to play,' '' Trotz said. "One of the things you tend to do is slack off a little because you're not playing and then all sudden, you're thrown in the fire and trying to catch the moving train.

"So make sure you're pushing yourself. That's an area he's going to have to gear up a little mentally.''

Single game price, I think around 10-15 games are PPV, I guess they pick the games that they think idiots like me will pay $16 for. This is the first time in a few years, so not bad I guess

For those curious, Nodl practiced with the team today in Briere's absence.
