We should have just given the Pens Perrin as they originally wanted.

It's funny that you guys ***** about Perrin making negative comments when guys like Belanger, Savard and Heatley also made negative comments during/after their time in Atlanta. I don't see you *****ing about them.

Be fair to the guy, Anderson did not use him correctly at all.
Regretting your Perrin jersey now?

How should Anderson have used a guy who scores less than 20 points? He was lucky to get ice time at all. It's still a team game, you still have to do what the coach tells you.

For all the crap we give to Christensen, at least he has more points than Perrin (Christensen has 19pts). Other forwards on the team all season with 15pts or less: Slater (15), Thorburn (13), and Boulton (10).

Meanwhile, Peverley has 21pts in 21 games. Granted, he could turn out to be another Perrin come next year (points-wise, not the "demanding a trade" posturing in the media), but I'm optimistic about him nonetheless.

If he's disrespectful and rude to the fanbase, you can count on it

But I doubt we'd see that, even if he does want out.

I don't think what Perrin said by itself was that bad, but combined with his history, it sounds worse.

EC is going to be good, he's still got that bum left shoulder. We saw last night vs. the Panthers what the guy can do. Peverley has more speed, vision, shooting skill, and smarts than Perrin ever had. Rich is no Alvin. Plus, RP is considerably younger than the slowing Perrin.

EC has had a year with this team. When can we expect to see him improve?

Shoulder injury; he's coming back from it.
He's been a dud so far, but he shows flashes of brilliance

Not at all. I loved Perrin as a Thrasher, and will continue to follow his career wherever he ends up, whether it's the NHL, AHL, or Europe.

What about if he ends up working the checkout line at Ikea or The Container Store?

Eric Perrin is not a bad hockey player. Just misused. With the addition of Reasoner, there was really no place for him on this team anymore. He'll find a home somewhere, and I have no doubt that he'll play another NHL game someday.

EDIT: Funny enough, that game was tonight. Unfortunately, he got injured. Bah.
