Grant Lewis Looks Good

It was a tough loss tonight, but Lewis looked real good. His skating is outstanding, and he looked very composed breaking the puck out of his own zone. I noticed that he pinched on many occasions in the offensive zone, helping to keep the puck in and creating some chances. I know it is only one game, but it looks like he has the tools to be a good NHL defenseman. I hope they keep him in the lineup for a while to see what he can do over an extended period.

What did you guys think?

i agree, he looked very composed tonight. But alas, when salmela joins the team, DW will send him down instead of oystrick

I thought he was okay. A few mistakes and bad passes. He did not stand out to me.

Oystrick will have to clear waivers if he is sent down. Lewis will not.

Doesn't waivers cease to exist after the trade deadline? I.e. players can be sent down to the farm without losing them to other teams.

Also, Oystrick will be ineligible to be sent to the Wolves in roughly a week, thanks to the AHL Clear Day rosters.

#2 is Garnet Exelby, not Grant Lewis.

huh?

I know who Exelby is and he is much better than Lewis. Thankfully this bumb won't be up too long so our future players can get time in this season.

LOL @ calling Exelby good.

Lewis played very well in his one game call-up, so I have no clue where you're getting the idea that he's a "bumb" as you call it. I'm not sure what that word means, but yeah...

Except for the fact that everyone is saying that he played well except you.
