TODAY's MUSIC:
Quote:

http://predators.nhl.com/team/app/?s...a_his_NameLogo

The Predators unveiled their logo, a Sabre-toothed tiger, in Nashville's downtown First American Center on September 25, 1997, 26 years after a fang and foreleg bone of a Sabre-toothed tiger were found in a cave just below the building's address.

In May of 1971, excavation began at the downtown Nashville site of what today is the 28-story First American Center. Construction workers drilled through 20 feet of solid rock before coming to a soft muddy area. Further digging revealed a cave containing the nine-inch fang and a foreleg bone of a Sabre-toothed tiger, extinct for at least 10,000 years.

Radiocarbon tests on the specimen revealed that it could have possibly been one of the last of its breed to exist. Scientists believe that some time during the last glacial period (15,000-80,000 years ago) part of the cave was the den of the Sabre-toothed tiger.

And don't forget to adjust your clocks, it is that time of year...

Tootoo suffered a very deep laceration along his hand while fighting Todd Bertuzzi last month when Bertuzzi's necklace broke and sliced into Tootoo's hand. Jordin missed about two weeks due to the injury and is wearing a wrap on his hand for the remainder of the season to protect the area.

In other words, he will not be fighting because of the automatic game misconduct penalty that would be assessed for fighting with the wrap on his hand. Of course I'm sure there are exceptions when he will be fighting during the remainder of the season, but he simply isn't going to fight, just to fight.

I didn't know that, and yes, that pretty much almost certainly rules him of any dances tonight. I'm sure his mouth and skates will still be going a mile a minute.

Thanks for the insight SLake.

Nice touch with Got the Time!!

Where was the game where Lindros suffered the collpased lung though? Probably ranks 2nd or 3rd in terms of most important stories between these two franchises (1 being the Forsberg deal, and maybe tied with the Hartnell, Timonen trade).

Great job with the GDT nonetheless

I know he played for the Blackhawks when this happened, but ever since this incident, I've been a fan of Steve Sullivans...

Too funny!

dunno any of the other guys, but Joel Ward seems to be a decent player. he looked good in that drubbing of the red wings (which i thoroughly enjoyed considering the misery around campus).

Nashville has been scoring ,like 5 goals a game lately.

I have Richard, Hartnell, Arnott, Erat, and Weber in my pool hopefully I get some points

In other words, he will not be fighting because of the automatic game misconduct penalty that would be assessed for fighting with the wrap on his hand. Of course I'm sure there are exceptions when he will be fighting during the remainder of the season, but he simply isn't going to fight, just to fight.
What he said.

Thanks for the insight SLake.
I think he'll fight if he needs to answer the bell for a hit or something of that sort that in a spontaneous thing.

Martin Erat was left out of the lines in the first post but this team has become a "sum of the parts" kind of thing. They don't trap though, they play a strong two man forecheck and play man to man coming into the zone....we just have a solid blueline that can shut teams down if they don't have to try and score all of our goals. Which they haven't lately with the return of Sullivan and the emergence of David Legwand.

I'm predicting a 1-0 Flyers win in a shootout.

(with all do respect)
