Wow... didn't expect to see this day...

I also doubt Kostitsyn will be on the RW, but he's away form Kovy and Higgins on the 3rd line...

Now, don't screw this up Carbonneau, please...

Won't matter one little bit if they don't come to play hockey.

Something's wrong beyond the lineup. Half the players have no mental toughness.

Maybe not, but at least, it's a step in the right direction...

It doesn't mean squat to me until they win by having a good collective performance.

Hope so. I don't see why he would not be there and Tanguay back on his natural LW.

Let's hope he leaves this lineup together for at least a few games to build some chemistry.

I'd switch Max and Matt, but I'm happy with the line up. Let's see how they play. Hope Halak gets the start.

Im sure the first line will click but that wont be enough to win this game.. The MaxPac Pleks Kovy line will struggle and the third line will be a non factor..

As a result, Kovy will have played his last game ever as a Habs and Dago will replace him on the Pleks line.. Gainey will call a press conference to say that Kovy isnt welcome anymore around this team.. Then we will regroup, start playing as a team and we will get better and better ready to kick ass in the playoffs.

if we gonna see again too many dumb penalties, this new line up doesent change anything. 2-0 could change to 7-0 against Dallas

Good lineup, but what will everyone say if A.Kost puts up zeroes for his stat line?

Finally. This must've come from upstairs. I'm sure Gainey is thinking seriously about firing Carbo at this point.

Why?

Pleks and Kovy have been carrying offensively this team for the last 2 weeks...

Bring in a real grinder who can dish out the puck from behind the net and get his nose dirty is EXACTLY what these two needs to get going as a line... MaxPac will do exactly what AKost tried to, but only better since he's used to it...

AKost has way to much talent to be wasting his time and energy at doing this work... now Koivu and Tanguay will have a true finisher on their line, someone who isn't aiming for the post all the time...

Higgins, will bring more balance, more experience and more offence to the third line... and with D'agostini on the 4th, at least on guy on that line will be dangerous around the net.

This line cant work for the unique and simple reason that Kovy is on!

At least he'll be around for the 5 on 3s.

I wouldn't bet my life on it, knowing Carbonneau and his need to have two centermen... but, the chances are better with him in the lineup instead of the Press Box, that's for sure...

I think carbo needs to go... Montreal is realisticly not THAT bad of a team to lose 2-0 to the thrashers. Like come on theres a limit here. Props to price for a pretty good game.
