First game of the season I'm going to miss. I hope to come back to a Preds victory!

Interesting username ^. I think Legwand's salary is entirely reasonable for his level of offensive and defensive play. Given his linemates each year, its no surprise at the numbers he puts up.

This game is huge. There are going to be some fights - mark it down. If their isn't, there will definitely be some huge hits. My only hope is that Hartnell doesn't wreck one of our forwards. We seem to lose a forward for the playoffs every year around this time......if it happens again tonight, I will be pissed.

Lets go preds, I don't think this game is that huge though. A 6 game streak is great and this game would be good to win, but in comparison to the CBJ game this is nothing. I still wanna make it 7, but this and WSH aren't gonna kill us. Wild down 4-2 in 2nd break. Bet they wish they had Ward, Jones and their 2nd round pick back lol. Too bad now...we're playoff bound.

Ward was a FA out of Buffalo's minor league system. Jones and a 2nd were from Minnesota. Considering Zidlicky has been their 2nd best defenseman, they are probably fine with the trade. Zidlicky has over 10 goals this year. He has rediscovered the scoring touch he lost for us....

Wardo made his NHL debut for Minnesota last season after playing the past two seasons with the Wild's AHL affiliate in Houston...

I'm 80% sure Ward came from the aeros
Minny's AHL affiliate

edit: I'm not saying it's all from the zids trade...just that it's all from minnesotas system, which if they don't make post season it looks like they could have used. By the looks of their rook stats they could use what we picked up.

LA just beat Minny in regulation. Good news there.

I expect violence tonight.

Great news....MIN can't catch us with their games in hand as of right now. And when we win they're screwed.

He did, he was their leading scorer last season.

Rinne has been a beast. We have had our chances and came up empty each time. This is really one of the best games Biron has played all season. He has been pretty inconsistent all year, but he has looked like an all-star tonight, making several incredible saves (the Erat save was phenomenal and the Jones save was really good).

Ugh...huge goal by Erat, and then after failing to clear the puck multiple times, Arnott can't quite wrap up Lupul who buries the third shot on a sprawling Rinne. :/

OK, we showed some correctable mistakes tonight that cost us in the end when we didn't finish our chances early to play from ahead or tie up the game.

Trotz forced to split up lines to try to create offense due to not having last change. Thought we probably got caught up too much in line match ups tonight, but it was a necessary evil too.

Tell the boys to take Sunday off, get away from the rink and spend some time with the family, come back to the rink Monday with a good practice, refocus, and get right back on the horse Tuesday at home.

Weren't looking for the boys to go undefeated the rest of the year, but do need them to be consistent. Nothing to go off the deep end about this evening. We will fall in the standings, but that will happen night to night the rest of the way. We still have the ability to control our own destiny and as hard as that is to say 10 minutes post-game, need to forget about tonight, call it an aberration and get back to playing Nashville Predators hockey in the next game.

Oh well I can't complain too much, yes they could have played better but ultimately we got beat by a good team on the road. We out shot them and had prime scoring chances but Biron came up big. But to go from 6th to 9th... and some teams still have games in hand... Oh well we can't win them all but each point is HUGE. We better do some home cooking next week against 2 playoff teams...

Oh and who is scared of San Jose and Detroit? No one right now lol

Yeah no kidding, too bad we can't play the rest of our games against Detroit and San Jose now.

It's scary to think that we have to take care of business at home, which will be hard enough, but we also have to go at least .500 on the road and we have been a bad road team all year.

Im off a different opinion. I thought that game was a complete embarrasment.

I thought the ice must be bad because the puck was all over the place and our guys kept falling down untouched in open ice, but then I noticed that no Flyers were having any trouble.

I also think that Biron had a good save or two but he wasnt spectacular. Did anyone have to listen to the Flyer feed? geez. Biron would be square to the shooter and the Preds would shoot straight into his glove, Biron would make an exaggerated scoop to add flare, and the tv guys would gush at what an all star top of the world save that Biron made. As a matter of fact, Erats goal was nothing but luck as Biron was attempting the glove flash for the millionth time and closed the glove to early as he went for the scoop. It ramped right off the curve and into the net.

I thought it was a bad loss, we looked easily outmatched from beginning to end.

at least Belak pounded some face and Hartnell didnt ruin our goalie.
