The Fight for the Playoffs

LETS GO FLYERS!!!!

The two main objectives are to stay in the playoffs, and to TRY and catch the Devils. They are going to have to cool off a good bit and we are going to have to beat them in our last game and play around .750.

Before getting two points tonight we were 4 pts from being out of the playoffs, every point counts!

I don't know if we'll catch the Devils (of course, I hope we do), but there isn't a hope that we don't make the playoffs.

Not a chance!

This is why we may be albe to catch them.

The Devils are a streaky team, im REALLY hoping they get on a bad one now. I mean cmon, Langenbrunner? 20+ goals? 50+ pts? Give me a break, once he cools off, they will cool off. And Elias and Praise can continue playing well, its just not enough (to beat the Isles lol).

Langenbrunner has been playing lights out, and we can hope he cools down. While Elias and Parise aren't enough (I agree), Rolston hasn't done much yet. Keep in mind he missed a chunk of the season with he high ankle sprain.

I don't think you can underestimate Brodeur, despite his horrible outing last game to the Isles.

Hopefully we can catch them, home ice would be nice. I don't mind starting the playoffs on the road. Sometimes you get a better team, as they try less to impress the fans.

well as of right now we still have home ice in the first round. If we can catch the Devils and the Caps i think we could have home ice till the finals cause Bruins arnt going to do much. Especially against the Pens or a hot team. Should be interesting but we still have a looooong way to go.

If the playoffs started today we'd be playing Florida.

Dunno why but ...

Yeah I think a lot of the young guys on Boston are starting to hit the wall a little bit. Guys like Kessel, Wheeler, and Krejci who got off to ridiculously hot starts have fallen back down to Earth while at the same time Manny Fernandez, who was performing almost as well as Thomas in the beginning of the season, has been horrible his last few starts.

According to this website's interesting calculations, the chances we will make the playoffs are 99.7% right now.

The Rangers are at 39.1%....eeek.

We'll see what really happens

We need an epic song to be the Flyers' playoff theme this season. I want suggestions. I nominate this Prodigy remix of Method Man. If I were a boxer/professional wrestler/archvillain, this would be my theme music.
