Fake shot? I don't think I've seen anyone on this team try to fake a shot in like 2 years!

I ****ing hate Pierre McGuire. It's SO clear he's anti-Rangers. And did he do any prep work on the team, the way they've played in the games since he last covered them, and who they got at the deadline?

And would you please make up your mind regarding our coaches, Pierre? Last game he went on and on and on about how Renney was not to blame, how great he was as a coach and how the Rangers' play was not due to anything he had done. Now, the Rangers play is significantly improved and it's all due to John Tortorella. Uh, make up your mind, you tool. If the improved play is ALL Tortorella, then BY DEFINITION, the ultracrappiness you saw last time MUST have had something to do with Renney.

(Not restarting the Renney argument - just criticizing Pierre's terrbile work as a commentator.)

It's unfortunate that he has to be on every single telecast on NBC. He's coached the Penguins before, so obviously that's where his hard on for anything Pittsburgh related comes from.

He's always been pretty fast from what I remember. By this I mean his acceleration.

If that puck wasn't rolling Avery probably scores and the Garden erupts.

Nice flow to the game so far. But the Rangers really need to bury one of these quality chances, cause it wont be long before the B's do.

Really good period...we just need to get more pucks on net. We dont have to always look to the pretty extra pass.

Staal has been flat out standing people up at the blue line this game, god I love that kid.

Avery had a good first period, I'm a little bit surprised that his legs are under him this fast.

We're playing a real good offensive team, we can't continue to not bury our quality chances.
