2 goals in 4 games and 1 came on the power play.

The thing is, Upshall is a speedy guy that needs to play on top two lines. He's gonna get the minutes he needs in Phx that he will not get here. Hey this Carcillo kid isn't bad or a big head case like everyone else said he would be either.

Here, a new article on the inquire about the Upshall - Carcillo trade. The argument is that they made the cap move so they don't have to send Giroux down when they need to call up a D-man should anything happen. I think it's a pretty valid argument:

If Dan Carcillo wants your opinion, he'll crosscheck it into you.

The first Terminator movie was supposed to star Dan Carcillo, but director James Cameron didn't want it to be a documentary so they cast Arnold instead.

When Arnold says the line "I'll be back" in the first Terminator movie it is implied that is he going to ask Dan Carcillo for help.

Dan Carcillo doesn't hunt - he kills.

Anyway - At first I thought this was a bad trade as I was a big scotty backer. But Carcillo has had his chances and even created some more. I think this team needed some more sandpaper before the playoffs.

As long as he doesn't start taking a ton of dumb penalties - we will be fine.

This one is great because at the beginning of the recording, the announcer says a big hit by Tollefsen on Jovanovski. This fight was to stick up for his teammate.
Pure Mad Man!

I love Danny Carcillo. My kids love the guy too. I always thought that if he meant to be anywhere else, it had to be Philly. A Broad Street Bully and Legion of Doom kind of guy. I'll be pullin for you guys in the playoffs.

To be perfectly honest, Carcillo has been pretty invisible since coming over. Hes been pretty useless and really hasnt done anything substantial except take weird penalties (reputation ones IMO). He really hasnt made the team better at all. I would rather have Upshall back.

Meh. In the end, I suppose Upshall was the guy that had to go in order to keep Giroux with the Flyers. For that reason, I am fine with the trade. I like Carcillo, too. Always have. I'll continue to give him time to find his niche with this team, instead of prematurely going postal and lambasting his performance.

You might want to see an optometrist.

Carcillo looks to me like a pretty good defensive forward. His skating isn't as good as Upshall's but it isn't bad, his hands are just as good. People are already forgetting that Upshall could look very good in stretches but go invisible for even longer stretches.

I agree with you 100%. Not to mention he has been very disciplined since his arrival.

Your 100% correct he is invisible and brought nothing to table. He dont hit has hands of stone and takes to many stupid penalties all of which Homer knew when he brought this stiff here. Homer had his pocket picked on this trade.

He doesn't take anymore stupid penalties than Upshall did.
