The 3rd overall pick in a 14 team FFL

O.K. guys,Let's spark some FF debate here.....G'Man,JCD,anybody else out there,I need your opinions.....I have the 3rd overall pick in a 14 team league and I'm looking at either A.Green,S.Alexander or C.Portis......I'm thinking Portis.....Am I wrong here?? Priest and LT will more than likely go 1,2 so that's what I'm looking at.....Is Jansen's injury going to hurt The Skins running game? or will the presence of Gibbs make the difference entirely?? What about D.McCallister??

Here is my board:

1) Holmes. Highest upside and a proven producer.
2) A. Green. Packers are a powerhouse offensive team and he is their best player. Second highest upside in the league.
3) Tomlinson. Best back in the league, but bad team knocks him down. In a TD-heavy league, he drops down even further.
4) Portis. I don't think the switch will hurt him, Gibbs is a run-first coach.

You are sure to get one of them.

If I take Green and get a chance at either Hasselbeck or Chad Johnson coming back through at pick #25,who would you take?? I'm figuring on passing on a mediocre running back at that point simply because they're gonna go quick and I figure a better player will be available at either QB or WR for me there

I'd take Chad Johnson if he's still there. It's a lot easier to find value in QB's in the later rounds than it is to find a top WR.

Priority list:

1) RB. Take a good RB over anybody except maybe an elite WR (Moss, Harrison and Holt).

2) WR. Take a good WR over any QB except maybe an elite (Culpepper, McNabb, Manning).

QB is a lower priority position. You can still find starter-grade QBs deep into the draft. The quality WRs, RBs (even TEs) dry up fast.

i'm picking 2nd in my draft and seriously thinking of taking portis over green...i'm a little biased since i had portis last year . . . but i had green the year before and was not that crazy about him...and gibbs is a really good run first coach...

Depends on what your scoring is like. In my league its pretty much a TD league so I have Shaun Alexander ranked 2nd overall.
