I promised myself that I am getting a tattoo the second they win the Stanley Cup. No questions asked. I bring this up everytime a tattoo discussion starts. I am getting a tattoo like this guy.

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=388279

Even though he is a Rangers fan, the tat is kick ass. Mine is gonn have the Philly skyline with the logo on the front with the Stanley Cup somewhere with a banner underneath showing the years that they won it. I hope they do it soon. I really want this.

I'd like to get a few tats. Nothing noticeable. If I ever become a lawyer or something, I don't want anyone to know they exist.

Maybe a shamrock or something.

... and someday a Celtic Cross with a childs name. Maybe a cross for a son. If I ever am lucky enough to have a daughter, prob a Celtic Knot with her name.

I only believe in having a name on your body if it's a child. Spouses are to non-permanent (unfortunately).

However, I wouldn't mind a little something in remembrance of my father, who was taken by complication due to stroke when I was 17.

Either way, I have to think about it.

That really only rules out hands, neck, face, and ankles for a dude. Your suit is gonna cover anything else up. I suppose you might want to avoid the forearms too if you're a lawyer who golfs.

these days it doesn't really matter where you get inked. Mine is inside of my left bicep about 2x3 and my daughters name on my wrist both visible.

Ya i have one on both of my triceps and at dress down day at work it shows under my polo. co-workers just ask what it is, no harm or foul. I'm just getting a flyers logo on the front of my thigh I think. Don't really care if anyone sees it but a select few. (and irish's sister) Its for me

I've got several tattoos, none of which are sports themed and I've seen two of my favourite teams in their respective leagues
win championships (Steelers & Red Sox).

I don't see myself changing that if/when the Flyers win the Stanley Cup.

Yeah, pretty much, maybe high on the shoulder or something. IDK. I can't be bothered to get them done right now, but someday.

Seriously?

I would only get one if it really meant something. I think an Irish themed one with the name of a child on it is the kinda meaning I would deem tattoo worthy.

Some bird or weird tribal design, is not tattoo worthy.

at least my temple let's you drink in it

thing with tattoos is that i don't like small ones on guys and i'm too much of a pansy to get a huge one. maybe if i join the marines, i'll get one. otherwise, i'd rather not.

I have two tattoos, one low down on my inner hip and one on my shoulderblade... I love them, they're an extension of me, and do not regret getting them for one second.

I think if you are very passionate about a team a team logo or emblem certainly can be a tattoo worthy design. Many people get ink to symbolize friends, family, hobbies or passions and a team can be all of the above.

Thats cool. Everyone has their own opinion.

If everyone had tattoos, they would not be as interesting actually.

I'm in that age bracket and I feel I know more people without them then with them.

However, they are extremely popular and I know a lot of people who want them, so my first statement is subject to change.
