Thanks Mr.Helper

I know alot of people who have had these symptoms lately, bass player in my band just last week right before we were to play a show. He just needed a few days rest and I think Henke will need the same.

Not always. I've been doing some reading about this lately as my wife has come down with Mono. Basically most of us carry the Epstein Barr Virus which remains dormant in our bodies until for some reason our immune systems can't keep it suppressed. It flairs up and can cause standard viral/flu like symptoms. In some cases but not all the spleen can enlarge and that's when you have to be cautious as not to injury it. As with recovering from any virus, you often have to let it run its course and let your body's immune system do what it's designed to do. Limiting physical activities, reducing stress, and having proper nutrition assists your body's ability to recover and over come the active virus.

Actually, based on the responses, it seems that 75% of the board members or their family has mono. This has to be the most mono infested fan base in the history of sports. Now we know where Lundqvist got it.

Well I mean I've had it, and I was under the impression that a lot of people get mono at some point in their lives....

Only the weak my friend, only the weak.

Seriously though, according to the FDA something like 50 out of every 100,000 ever get it.

Scared the crap outta me at first.

I don't get how they could speculate mono.

Sounds more like a stomach virus to me. They can be nasty too, but you get over them in due time.

This is the second time this season Hank has missed time with FLu like symptoms. Maybe less partying and more rest between starts?

Vomiting isn't a symptom of mono, did Dr. Eklund do the exam?

I've never heard of Blueseats Blogs or whatever, but to speculate mono from a stomach ailment is just wrong. I've never had mono but tons of my friends have and vomiting is not a symptom.

And why was this even posted if this is just an opinion of a random Rangers fan? This is no different than any of the posters here saying "Antropov sat out of practice today because he was banged up. Sounds like his arm fell off." Let's make sure these are credible sources before posting.

There is a really bad stomach virus going away. And by bad, I mean horrible.

I had it last month. My entire family has had it. Think of food poisoning + a burst firehose + a gallon of hotsauce.

It is extremely horrible.. and when I had it, even the smell of food made me vomit.

Where the hell did the mono thing come from? Mono has nothing to do with throwing up.

Sounds like the Norovirus aka the Norwalk Virus. If there is a more miserable non life threatening disease out there, I haven't heard of it.

Avery has the answer for you... Sloppy Seconds.

Mono blows I had it around May two years ago and it's just a lame illness to get. Only plus side was I didn't work for like 2.5 weeks and got to sleep alot.

Lundqvist's symptoms don't sound like mono to me though.

Da hair! It makes me sick!

In other news, Lundqvist good to go, as per Zipay.

I had a brutal case of mono when I was 25, almost ended up in the hospital. But at no time did I have stomach issues. I wasn't very hungry, and my throat was so swollen it was hard to eat anything.

I very much doubt he has mono.
