Yes, I'm almost positive that he is playing down in the AHL right now. I actually really liked Jed and wished he'd be playing tomorrow as well.

I'd take Jed over Sjostrom on the fourth line ANY day of the week. But that's just me. Loved Jed's work ethic. I was hoping he'd be a career Ranger and one day the captain of the team.

I agree 100%, there's not many of us haha that actually liked Jed. Maybe one day he will sign back with the Rangers.

Close, but...

Dumont - Arnott - Sullivan
Ward - Legwand - Erat
Pihlstrom - Fiddler -Tootoo
Smithson - Nichol - Belak

Weber - Suter
Hamhuis - Zanon
DeVries - Klein

Two key things to come out of the morning skate will be the health of both Pekka Rinne (flu) and Jason Arnott (undisclosed injury). Pekka looked a bit fatigued after drills at practice yesterday and Arnott didn't participate after getting knocked out of the last game in the 3rd period by a hit at center ice. Arnott had actually requested the day off prior to Tuesday's game, but he is expected to see the team doctors in the AM to evaluate his status.

If Arnott is unable to go, we are screwed. You will most likely see Fiddler slide up to center one of the top two lines - if we do not recall Cal O'Reilly or Mike Santorelli from Milwaukee - and see Smithson move to the center position between Pihlstrom and Tootoo. Jones or Koistinen would be inserted into the lineup on the wing with Nichol and Belak. Belak will be scratched if Orr is not playing, but I don't anticipate that.

I also have a feeling that Ellis will get the nod, unless Pekka puts on a good showing at the morning skate. Will be an interesting day for sure here in Nashville leading up to game-time.

Nice NYR win 2nite
I could see Orr-Belak, Tootoo-Avery + DeVries-Redden matchups

A win tonight puts us right back in the thick of things. It would have been great if Chicago could have held on in regulation last night, but 2 points with 2 games in hand is easily doable in today's NHL. Really important game tonight as I cannot see them sweeping the weekend vs. the Flyers.

The schedule is ridiculous tonight
THE ENTIRE playoff roster for the east is playing tonight
(that would include BOS,WSH,NJD,PHI,MTL,NYR,FLA,CAR,PIT,BUF)

What are the chances the islanders can actually help us and not tank? X_X

Not bad considering they have been playing well recently...Montreal is a tall order but hopefully the Isles can really take it to them. Danis will be in net for them and he has been playing out of his head recently...hopefully the Islanders can put some goals up on Price and pull an upset.

Some help from other teams would be nice tonight. Mainly Buf winning over FLA, Pitt losing, Car losing to Dallas, Phi getting beat by Washington. Ultimately though if we want to make the playoffs its in our hands. We also have some games in hand on the teams in the race with us, 2 games on Car for example. 1 on Pitt etc etc.
