Only less bleeding? Should he really be playing?

Donald Brashear will indeed miss tonight's game with a sprained knee. Also, because a another forward is feeling "ill," the team has recalled Alexandre Giroux as a precaution, according to Coach Bruce Boudreau. If the undisclosed forward can't go -- Boudreau wouldn't say which player is ailing or what might be wrong with him -- Giroux will play.

Update:Michael Nylander will replace Brashear.

We have the highest paid 4th line center in the history of the NHL... Don't be jealous.

Yes I do, just like when I want Niity to be playing against the Thrashers every game. Its always a sure thing just about. Niity plays ape**** against the Caps all the time. I dont know. It is just a gut feeling.

Seeing as we play both Saturday and Sunday (Rangers), Niitty will see action in of those. Don't sweat it Pikachu!

Briere on the 4th is very strange to me, what is this supposed to accomplish outside of giving us an pretty bad 4th line?

If they're worried about getting him up to speed, let him play a game for the Phantoms.

he wont stay on the 4th line the whole game. they likely want to ease him back in (again) and gradually increase his minutes.

stevens also said he would get time on the power play
