MSE, I can't help but to look at your avatar, and read how you don't like shootouts...and laugh.

My thoughts from the game... some good, some bad, crappy result.

- Richards' pass to Knuble on the goal was a thing of beauty.
- The 4th line out against Ovechkin... not so much.
- Some great saves at both ends (somebody needs to tell Theodore he's not that good!)
- Considering the crap that was let go, calling Knuble for crosschecking (or interference?) to wave off the goal was nothing more than a makeup call
- If Ovechkin hadn't hauled Gagne down while going after the puck, no call is the right call

The thing that hurts the most is that the Devils won.

I thought Danny was one of the best players last night.
Lupul was AWFUL and Giroux had his worst game so far..

Sweep Rags and all is good.

It might have been the first time since his last callup that Giroux looked like a rookie out there. I love the kid - he needs to shoot the puck when he has the opportunity. I hope he and Briere have at least a few more games on the same line, but they need someone with a lot of speed out there with them.

What? Danny Boy played 12 min. and had 1 shot on goal how is that a good game. Lupul was not awful. Giroux set up some nice plays.

Awesome coaching, just awesome.
I'm really glad I'm not the only one that noticed this. I was like, WTF? And it bugged me the entire game. That match-up, and subsequently that give away cost us the game.

It was a shame, it was a fun third period in the Wach. So exactly HOW loud was the a-hole chant over the tv? LOL

The whole friggin' TEAM needs to SHOOT the puck!! This game AGAIN had them all making one too many passes. The only one to seem to be trying to stop that was Carter. After the last couple games, Richie and Stevens both said they got to go back to being simple, but so far I don't see it. Yes, we out shot them last night, but I think the quality of the Caps shots were much better than ours.

They kept passing instead of taking the shot themselves.
I felt guilty yelling a$$hole in front of kids but I got over it, lol.
