Kovalchuk is a workhorse. After he got cheap-shotted by Jarkko Ruutu last year, he came back out to try and play the point on the power play, only to decide otherwise after skating for about 10 seconds (and managing to get a SOG, to boot).
He doesn't back down from injuries. If this were a playoff game, no one would have known anything until long after the playoffs finished.
I know all about toughness especially with guys like Ethan Moreau.
I just don't understand why he'd risk something like that on a game on the road.
If it were a game at home, I would understand why he would tough it out.
I wouldn't know, though. I haven't played hockey since I was 12.
I don't know what this city ever did to you, but you never cease to amaze.
Congrats on the win. Marty's always been a stand up guy (quite the comedian too).
What the hell does my post have to do with the city of Edmonton? Nothing can change the fact that Souray is a dirty player. What he did to Weller was just one example of his pure lack of sportsmanship.
