is there such a thing? never had good pizza around here
Pizza is pizza. After going to NYC and trying the 'amazing' pizza they have there, I must say that all pizza kind of tastes the same to me. If I had to pick, I'd say Yard House makes the best pizza I've ever had, but it still is 7/10 on the 'how much I love it' scale.
Is anyone else been annoyed this season by Teamdestroyermayer and his ability to dominate the play/game whenever he feels like it, and then NOT doing it most nights? He could be the best player in the league and chooses not to.

That's because you didn't eat it with a knife and fork.

That's the problem with Niedermayer and Pronger...they only dominate when they feel like it. I think the same is going for Getzlaf because at times he seems real lazy especially in the defensive zone.
Yep, Mammaluccas has great pizza (NY style thin crust). One of my favorites is Wise Guys Pizza in Orange. Even though I am not a huge fan of thick crust, they make a great pizza. Although I've never had it myself, Gina Maria's pizza (on Placentia across from Albertson's) supposedly is pretty good (it smells great). Make sure you get the thin crust though.
Our team is so bad this year that posts about pizza are garnering more attention than the actual GDT. What's worse... it's a GDT for a game they actually won.

I spend about 2 months a year in NY and i agree, in fact is there anything in food that CA is the best in? Mexican food? debatable

In fact someone should start a socal food thread to take away our attention from this seasons misery
Not sure if it's made its way down to So.Cal yet, but Zachary's near Berkeley and a few other places in No.Cal is the best pizza I've ever had.
I often stop by Zacharys and get one of their take and bakes for later in the week. Never get tired of it. Not much chance of it going beyond the Bay Area though, it doesn't seem like they have any interest in franchising and it took them two decades to open a third location.
I lived in NY for a few years, have to say the pizza there was underwhelming except at a few places, none of which were on the radar of anyone but locals.

The best pastrami: Langer's or Johnnie's
The best french dip: Philippe's
The best apple pie and ice cream: The Apple Pan
The best heart burn inducer (and not to the best thing to be consumed when you have a hang over even though they are open at 4:00 in the morning): Tommy's chili cheese fries
I don't like blaring music for one. If it's loud enough so I have to yell to talk to people, (unless it's a concert or show) I'm not having fun.
The clientele at the Shipe is a lot nicer crowd too. Mostly middle aged people. Much better than all the lamo clubbers that invade downtown. Also, I like not having 6 people grind up against me just to get by. I'm not claustrophobic, but I have my standards of general comfort. Go ahead, call me a buzz kill.
