Draft Day Dealing

Thrasher fans, this is a leafs fan and I have a question for you:

If you were given the 3rd overall pick, would you draft Matt Duchene? or would you trade up to Toronto if we had the 7th pick for MSP? The question I suppose is would you accept the trade for something similar to what Toronto did last year with the Islanders and take our 1st, then your choice of 3rd this year and 4th next year or 3rd next year and 4th this year?

I suppose the first question that needs to be answered is if you are drafting a Center, a Winger or a Defencemen?

What does the Atlanta faithful have to say?

Atlanta needs a winger, and I would definitely trade down for MSP if there were some good picks coming our way. We're becoming pretty strong down the middle, so I see no reason to worry a lot about that position any longer.

You can turn a C into a W, but it is very hard to turn a W into a C.

I take the best player available where we pick and do not move down.

I'd take Duchene in a heartbeat.

You don't draft for needs, you draft best available.

Keep the pick and draft best player available.

Nonetheless, MSP as the long-term replacement for Kozlov would be intriuging.
