skate clicking

When I walk in my skates, my left skate makes this weird clicking noise. I can also feel it, its clicking up at the toe of the blade. I cant move the blade around at all so i dont think its a problem, but its annoying. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Check the tightness of the bolts holding the runner. I did and found it was loose... very loose actually. I tightened them up and voila.

I have Bauer Vapor 12's, maybe i should have mentioned that. I cant find or get to anything but the rivets on the bottom of the holder.

The runners bolt on from the inside. You need to pull the innersole out to access the runners mounting bolts.

No big deal really. It's actually pretty common.

Yeah, I have Bauer 4000 and they do this all the time. At least once every three years, I have to get them tighten at my local pro shop.

Take them to your local pro shop. I took my skates in for this problem, and they actually did it for free!

Exactly. I take my skates in about once every 4 months to get them re-riveted, and reholstered. Just common wear and tear.

I have the same click in my Vapor 12's. Pro-shop told me the weren't able to be tightened? Is it possible the rivets aren't tightenable?

Yeah, this is good advice. I think I will take them in and get them tighten again.
