Excuse me for the me boy deal.Just something I do on another web site with the gopher fans.Meant nothing by it.Sure they will be inconsistent,I mean they are an expansion team for cryin out loud.Did you know Omaha went 0-48 their first year in the league. Now that's funny.
23 years, and 13 championships later... yeah, the Lancers should have folded after that '86 season.
It's official. The Fargo Force are in the playoffs after defeating the Sioux City Muskateers last nite 6-2 in Fargo.I can't believe there has been a expansion team that has had this much success in their first year.If there is let me know.
They can thank Mike Lee. I'll be interested to see how they do without him next year.
I'd imagine Cody Campbell will take over.He isn't doing to bad in a backup roll to Lee this year.I've heard Blais talk highly of him on his weekly radio shows.Lee is the man of the hour though and your squad is getting a good one next fall.
He doesn't know if he's going to college in '09 or '10 yet...so there's an outside chance he could come back.
On Bob Motzko's final coaches show of the season he said he's 90% sure Lee is coming in next year and began raving about him on the air so I wouldn't expect him back. Weslosky says he's coming back but there is nothing out of Dunn which is leading to speculation Dunn may be transfering. Yes a lot can change but Motzko seems to be expecting Lee to be wearing Cardinal and Black next year.

I would be shocked if Lee went back to the Force next fall.Word on the street around Fargo is he will be a Husky next fall.

The '96-'97 expansion Lincoln Stars went 40-13-1 in their first season in the USHL...still a league record. They won the Clark Cup also that year. Every home game was a sellout that season. Not too shabby, eh?
Fargo visits the Ice Box in Lincoln Saturday night...I'll be there. I have a lot of respect for the Force, and their head coach. Mike Lee is one of the best goaltenders in the USHL right now. I'll be rooting for them against Omaha in the playoffs.

Thank you. That is why I asked. With that said how was it Lincoln was so successful their first year?
Hey Yeti,remember this statement?
lolz. The Stars will never lose to the fighting Cabbage Patch Dolls.

Jeezus, dude...it was a joke. I don't understand why you have to keep bringing it up. How many times do you want me to give props to Fargo? It still doesn't change the fact that they have a retarded cabbage patch doll as a mascot.

Just playin with ya.All in fun.So how did Lincoln get so good their first year?Did they go through the same process as the Force did to get players?

Do you think Dunn will transfer or go the OHL route?
I'd think the Caps would want him getting games in the OHL as opposed to sitting a year through a transfer.
Is he even young enough for the USHL to keep his NCAA eligibility?

He's too old for the USHL and the OHL next season. It looks like it's SCSU, ride the pine with a different D1 school, transfer to a D3 school, or move on to the ECHL next season.
I'm just thinking... say Dunn stays, and Lee comes in. Obviously Lee will be drafted this summer... what other NCAA team has three goalies that are NHL property?
Congrats to the Force for 3 awards.Dean Blais, coach of the year.Mike Lee, goalie of the year. And the Fargo Force, organization of the year. Not to shabby for a 1st year team eh.

I can't see Dunn staying though.
I expect we'll be hearing Dunn is transfering around May when the school year ends.
