Jim Ramsey Appreciation Thread...

I cant bieleve this hasnt been done before. But the dudes an absolute magician. We have had the least amount of man games to injuries and alot of this can be attributed to how well he prepares these players for the rigor of hockey.

Thanks Jim keep it up.

Not just Ramsey but the conditioning coaches. I thought about this today as well. The Rangers have had very few injuries since the lockout. They have had very few injuries resulting in more than a few games missed. It's simply incredible. Aside from a few freak accidents (Shanny collision, Avery spleen) there really has not been much noteworthy.

Redden is better than Potter and Sanguinetti combined right now.

If there's anyone worth interviewing on the team it's Rammer. I'd love to hear what he thinks of this Rangers team compared to teams of the past.

Jim Ramsey joined the Rangers before the 1994-95 season but it became the 1995 48 game lockout shortened season. The Rangers long time trainer Dave Smith left the Rangers to re-join Roger Neilson in Florida.Smith did not want to leave the Rangers but he could not stand working for Mike Keenan. It appeared Keenan was going to remain HC of the Rangers so Smith bolted.Colin Campbell hired Ramsey who used to be the Winnipeg Jets trainer. When the Rangers hired John Tortorella as HC,he said he still maintained a relationship with Rammer over the years.
