Potash: something about geno being back on his comfortable spot on the PP.

Geno: Well I score two goals!

Going unnoticed is Gonchar. Goal and three assists. 6 goals, 14 points, in 15 games since coming back from injury. This could have been a career year if not for Koci.

i like when potash asked him about missing the penalty shot.

"ooh (laughs) i was nervous"

anyone listening to the X? lange goes "to a very giddy 29er for the three stars"

29er "fire up the giddy machine"

lange " oooooooooooo" then he giggles

Big kudos also should go out to Mark Eaton. He's all the way back from his pre-injury form. His level of play has been raised to the point where he is now entrenched as the No. 4 defenseman on this team, imo.

He's also better than Dupuis at scoring into empty nets.

Winger for Crosby?

Cryers lost, let's keep this streak rolling and get home ice in the 1st round.

Leafs win 4-3 in the shootout over TB after being down 3-0. 6 rounds.

Eaton has been great and is no longer a liability out there. I am confident with this top 4 going into the playoffs now. Gill Scuderi still make me nervous but they excel on the PK and we'll have the depth options of Boucher and Gogo just in case.

Dang! PP that works! PK that's perfect! A special teams night that isn't hell.... bizarro world .

Hopefully this means Malkin's confidence goes back up where it should be. You could see the sheer relief when he potted that first one, and then the slapper on the PP was just the statement shot on why that space on the PP should be HIS.

Cool also to see Gonchar and Eaton tag them with the 6-2 goal . How often do you see two defensemen leading that rush like that?

NB: Sarge is epic.

Oh, and good thing we signed Jordan Staal when we did, huh?

Because he's now playing like a $6 million center!

I know that this win was beating up on the Thrashers but it was good to see the Pens get mean. Sure they were up in the game but this time they went for the kill. Thats a big playoff step IMO.
