Joel Bouchard for coaching the defense ?

What do you think about him ? Good to communicate, good with strategy. Played Defense in the NHL (always hurt), he speaks french and english, and he's friend with Jacquo Demers

I think we have to wait until next year before bringing anybody else and confusing our players even more.

Although at this point, any defensive coach is better than none.

Wait, the guy who's an analyst on RDS? If we could put up a defensive wall as stationary as his hair, we'd be unstoppable.

I really don't think that the bilingual requisite extends in any way to assistant coaches. They don't have to address the media, and most of the players they have to communicate with will know some English, and the few who do not know English likely won't know French either (young Euro players). An asset for sure, but not necessary.

I to this and to Joel Bouchard being a defensive coach. I'd take Breezer over him.

Make Chelios retire and get him as a defensive coach.

Is it a joke? Or you're actually serious about this?

I think he's really becoming an interesting analyst.

Let's let a good thing be.

Honestly, Joel knows a heck of a lot about hockey and I'm sure he'd make a great coach...I just wouldn't hire him without experience.

As long as he isn't hired as the chef.

Joel Bouchard for a period of time thought he was suffering from post concussion syndrome when he actually had mercury poisoning. It was a result of a fish heavy diet.

Bouchard is actually one of the better analysts on the TV these days, IMO..

How he'd fare out as a D coach i'm not sure, but he seems to understand the game quite well and appears to be very vocal.

How about a fight to the death

Joel Bouchard vs Benoit Brunet

DEATH MATCH whoever wins becomes the D-men coach till he dies ans is paid big bucks

on a more serious note, i want Desjardins to be our D-men coach

Bouchard is a great analyst.

However, the closest he's came to coaching is holding McDonalds hockey camps for pee-wee players. He could be a good coach in the future, but let him gain experience before throwing his name out there, even only as a defense coach.

I think he'd single handedly kill/drown all of our players with his wacky waving inflatable arms and poutine hair.

He looks good on TV but probly not behind the bench..

They talk good on TV.. doesn't mean they're really capable in real life..
