Halak should easily get the start, he has earned it and is ready to carry this team. We need solid goaltending not cream puffs who just hold their arms in the air when a floater goes in.

Gainey is making the same stupid decisions Carbo made, why even fire Carbo when you gonna do the same dumb crap?

And we'll probably miss the playoffs this year again.

Sorry but Gainey (and Timmins) should go.

Start fresh next year.
Same team for ages, a bunch of gutless smurfs, not the 'third' line, however. They should stay; the rest should be shown the door. This team needs no more persons from the team's past. They call it the past for some reason. Therefore, get someone in from outside the organization who has a wealth of hockey knowledge and a knack for finding good players at both the professional and youth level. This includes something we have not had in eternity, a superstar who racks up more than 100. It seems like every team in the league has had one but we have not since Mats Naslund, a time when Brian Mulrooney was prime minister.

And now the team MVP is latendresse......

i can picture the other teams during practice: 'Ok guys were playing agains montreal tonight. Now their best player is that number 84 latensomething watch out for him, the rest of the team is pretty crappy'

this gives the rest of the team more space on the ice???

I hope Komisarek is not expecting a raise at the end of the season.

Our team is sad to see on ice...

While I agree that Bob will probably leave, or get fired, cause the way they play now, I have trouble seeing them in playoffs, who's moron enough to want Timmins fired ?!? It's funny cause in the minors, they play very well, and when they get called up, they have some trouble adjusting... Timmins is responsible in the minor level, and I wonder if he even has to deal with them in the AHL... now why the **** would he be responsible for moronic coaching in the NHL ?!?

We FINALLY have AT LEAST DECENT prospects in nearly every position, NHL potential, and potentially great ones, and one slug whine about picking Kristo instead of Stefanovich ??? Hey man, this guy's got nearly no intensity, while Kristo has it in bunch ! Want to whine about Missiaen, a late round pick ?? Who's to tell what he will become ? Have a crystal ball ???

This season suck... but it's not Timmins's fault...

Went to the game yesterday...

Like I said, i went to the game and not only did I have to go through 45 minutes of traffic in Ottawa but I got the confirmation of what I was seeing on TV. Mike Komisarek is done... Injured or not, this guy can't pass, always late on battles behind the net and can't make a good decision. He's the last dinausor of his kind. No defenseman in the NHL is that one dimensional, none at all. He's a joke on skates. I'm looking foward to not see him next year. And guys, Koivu's my next rant if he's not more effective on the ice

Did you already forget what Komisarek did in the past few years? He was one of our most reliable defenseman, and a top 3 in both shot blocking and hits. He's not done, he's probably just injured. I want to see him back, but I would be scared to give him too much for too long.

I was at the game last night as well, and Koivu would be one of the last I would be ranting about from last night. Sorry but 3 of 5 goals who was taking the faceoffs? Plecks. Guess what didnt win them (and didnt win a lot of them either), Kovalev where was he last night? 2 on 1 he wasnt even skating to go help out the D. Like we say in french "Il trotinait sur la glace hier" If your going to do that, GET OFF THE ICE!

Seriously, as of lately when I see the 3rd and 4th line I have more confidence then the 1st and 2nd...Now thats horrible!

Komisarek just doesn't look the same. Not sure why...is he hurt, is the system bad, is his confidence completely shot...is it all the above.

Comparing his per game averages to last season:
Blocked shots per game are up from 3.02 to 3.25
Hits per game are down from 3.55 to 2.93

When he tries to hit a player, he seems to bounce off of them where-as in the past, he would knock them down. This, to me, means he is hurt.

No doubt - Komo has played so poorly - seems it has been that way since his fight with Lucic.

You'd have to think it's an injury, but he might decide to walk away at the end of the year anyway, and you know at this point I wouldn't even care.

Markov, Lapierre, and Kosto have been the only guys giving consistent efforts throughout the year. Everybody else is invisible at times imo.

The Leafs will come after us on saturday...and we'll fold. Ridiculous.

This team needs players who care.

Just think for 1 minute please, a player doesnt just become bad without reason, he IS injured. Now move on please, there is nothing left to see here.

Scratch Komi and Breezer and get Dandy and O'Byrne on the ice. I think this defense can't get any worst...

Eric Desjardins on La Zone said that Komi is playing like a player who has an undiagnosed concussion, like he was in a constant haze.

He used to crush guys. Now, even when he tries to hit, it's like there's no strength behind his hits.

It's too hard for the coach to bench Komo and Breezer and Price.

And make smart lines..

Sergie for Dags?

O'Byrne for Brisebois?
