Yep, those two. But I have Gonzaga holding them off

I almost went that way, but I needed to pick an upset somewhere (what's the fun otherwise?) and I didn't particularly like Gonzaga this year. Otherwise I've got nothing lower than a 6 going to the second weekend.

usually the CAA can provide quite a deep upset runner (i.e. George Mason, and VCU two years ago) but the selection committee basically BONED any and all mid-major conferences. Maynor is human after all.

And to explain why I care so much, I am Drexel student and we play in the CAA. The farther VCU goes, the better our conference looks.

Not a bad first day. 14/16

Opus, I see that you won't be checking your bracket until the end of the tourny.... that's probably a good thing; you're the first to lose a Final Four pick.

Thanks buddy!

I have a strong (very strong) feeling you'll have some competition this year.

Woo Dayton!

I might buy a lottery ticket today given my first round performance so far.

Damn you Dayton. I had WVa into the elite eight and Dayton was the only team that scurred me along the way with that pick. D'oh.

Ouch. That Wake Forest loss really hurts my bracket.

Through 29/32 games I was lookin' so good. Ha!

Edit: Damn! Then Florida State bows out as well. Look out bottom, here I come!

3 #12 seeds won. That curse is ridiculous.

Just when I thought things were looking hopeless my crazy Wisconsin pick panned out. Maybe that's a sign of things to come.
