Well congrats, hope it's a wonderful experience brought on by a NYR win.
The Sens are on a hot streak here so this game is going to be a bit more difficult than I thought it would be 2 weeks ago.
It's probably just me who hadn't noticed the Senators alternate logo after they made the switch 2 years ago. I think it's the best one they ever had.
Senators are much more beatable on the road than at home. Not much scoring except form the top line. Everybody else checks. Don't get outworked and don't take bad penalties. Hopefully Gomez will be up for this.
This game has let down written on it...given that the Rangers have some off 3 huge wins, and the Sens are a nonplayoff team. But they're playing quite well right now and the Rangers are going to have to play with the same intensity here if they want the 2 pts.
It does, this game is one game we should win or in the very least get 1 point out of. I dont want to say we can afford to lose a game, but of the 10 games we have left this one doesn't hold as much weight as most of the others.
I think 94pts will get an 8 seed so lets get 12 of the remaining 20 pts left.
Either way, it's probably a good thing there are professional hockey players suiting up tonight, and not us worry-warts, don't you think?
This is going to be a battle. Ottawa has two lines devoted to the rough-stuff. I hope Antro steps up and knocks Ruutu out of his tutu, ( or at least knocks his helmet off.) I'm eagerly awaiting the Avery factor in this game.
Keep skating, be on your toes and don't stand around.
Pressure their D and keep the possession of the puck.
Finish the big chances.
Score on the PP.
Timely saves and sharp defense.
Keep the crowd in the game.
Both these teams played last night so they will want that possession edge the first two periods trying to wear down the D. Gotta wear THEM down. Also, seems like Ottawa is playing well because the pressure is off them. They have nothing to lose at this point so be careful and be alert in all situations.
Do these things and you have a good chance to win tonight.
