Huge game against a hot team. But getting the right match ups, and staying out of the box, we can win this one.

Gosh, Arnott still injured? When and the heck is he going to be back? I hate to say it's "just a concussion" because I know they can lead to multiple concussions but really at what point is it okay to come back? I'd be interest to hear if coming back right away leads to much greater risks. You see NFL qbs getting concussed and playing the next week.

Hopefully for the playoff hopes he's back sooner rather than later.

They said on 104 this afternoon that they were about 1500 from a sellout. Hopefully they can finish that off with a good walkup.

And hopefully the team will give us something to cheer about!!

Go Preds!!

We need to win our home games. This may be a tough task, but Anaheim is one of the weaker (lol) teams left on the schedule. We probably need 7 out of 10 down the stretch or around 14 points....

Jones is out?

I scored some lower bowl tickets right behind the box. Word!

last i heard, all he could do right now is ride the bike

unless there has been a more recent update, the recovery process is going slower than expected

Our lines based on the Tennessean:

Sullivan - Legwand - Erat
Ward - Fiddler - Dumont
Tootoo - Nichol - Pihlstrom
Smithson - Bonk - Hornqvist

Weber - Suter
Hamhuis - Zanon
Devries - Klein

Rinne
(Ellis)

Also, i posted this on the NPboards --

I am not so sure that Anaheim is that much more skilled than us... They lost a lot at the deadline (Kunitz, Morrison, Pahlsson, and Moen).

They have Perry-Getzlaf-Ryan, then Selanne and then who on offense? We can match them with Sullivan-Legwand-Erat, then Dumont...

I mean are you that scared of Andrew Ebbett and Rob Neidermayer (at -19 mind you)? Only person that I would even consider having semi-skill up front for them is Drew Miller outside of those 4 listed above.

Then you look at defense where they have Pronger, Neidermayer, and Whitney which we can counter with Weber, Suter, and Hamhuis.

I am not saying that I am not scared of this team (because I definitely am), just not sure that they are as 'skilled' as some have labeled them.

We are winning this game. In Anaheim they were a one line team and had the benefit of the last change, throwing their top guys out against DeVries-Klein.

This time we put Weber-Suter on them and let the Dumonts, Wards, Fiddlers, etc win the game for us.

Of course staying out of the freakin box would go along way also.

we have to contain that perry\getzlaf duo this time. That line dominated us last game. Do that, and I think we can win this game.

I think the winner of this game is in the playoffs, and the loser isn't. It's a big one.

I absolutely hate it when teams come out and play so "close to the vest/chess match" kind of hockey. The first two periods were almost unbearable to watch. I guess I would rather see a team force teams into making mistakes by playing aggressive/in your face hockey rather than playing scared of making a mistake.

Fiddler was 2 for 2 last game... besides, do you have a better option?

Legwand? Hörnqvist? Any player with more offensive moves than Greg Johnson?

17,000+ people in that arena tonight knew what Fiddler was going to do with the puck when he got a 1v1 chance, including Giguere.

And to make it worse, he went with Bonk, who hasn't played in 13 games due to a wrist injury, as his fourth shooter.

Agree on Bonk particularly. You can't put in a guy with a wrist injury in his first game back. Hate that choice. Erat, though, had the game on his stick and failed.

and everyone knows Legwand will just skate up there all fancy and shoot 5-hole. but we should put a giant question mark out there (Horny) who can't score at the NHL level if his life depended on it?

You're still ignoring the fact that Fiddler has been hot with that move lately.

Can't argue with Bonk. Although he got very close. Had Gig beat, just couldn't lift the puck.

Well, other than the Blues game, every game fell our way tonight. According to the stats guru, this night had virtually no impact on our odds of making it or not. I thought we needed 4 out of 6 points in the Ducks/Sharks/Kings trio here so we made it a bit harder on ourselves.

Ducks go to the Avs tomorrow night for a huge back end of a back to back.

I'll agree with this. Dood wasn't even taking faceoffs and he was sent out on a shootout?

Great game to be at, though. I had a hell of a time.

Atleast we got a point.....

You had to know goalies would eventually figure out that Fiddler has one move...but I can live with trying. I can live with Sully's unbelievable bad luck tonight...

But putting Bonk out there...unbelievable. And Trotz raving about how close he came. Sheesh.

I would personally like to see Klein or Suter take a shot. Klein in particular has some moves, and he's two for two on breakaways this year. I thought we had the game when Pekka was able to stop Perry, Getzlaf and Ryan in order.

9th place.

This game could have gone majorly either way. Both teams missed wide open nets, hit posts, and the goalies were great.

Shea Weber!!! First Pred Dman with 20 goals!! I really thought Kimmo would have had 20 at some point but I guess he had all assists.

Can't believe there was only one penalty on the Preds. Each PP we had got progressively better. Each time they kept it in the zone longer, had more control, got more chances/shots until finally Weber scored.

There was a time a few weeks ago that we had a 3-4 win lead on everyone around us even though we had less points. Then we went on a streak and moved up and had that win cushion. Now, even though we're getting points everyone else is getting the wins and moving up around us.

I hope everyone realizes we are 2-2-4 in our last 8 games. That's 2 whole wins against powerhouses Phoenix and Los Angeles. Being happy we got a point has caused us to fall to 9th place. We need some wins NOW!!

agreed. Im really bummed about this one, we should have won it and not only did we skate away with the lone point, we gave Anaheim 4 straight points out of our own pockets.
