Huh. That is pretty shocking, I mean... we don't play again till Saturday. This better not backfire.

I'm not worried tbh, as long as the D is on Kovalchuk and Little all night. Vally won the game in Atlanta back in December as well.

Guys..this is weird...

It seems like every recent imprtant date in my life happens when the rangers are playing IN ATLANTA...

March 16, 2007 -- I came back from Iraq the first time. Rangers lose 2-1 in OT

Dev. 7, 2007 -- My wedding day. Rangers lose 4-2.

March 26, 2009 -- My daugher is being born today...rangers in Atlanta.

Oooooh baby.

Well, theres an afternoon game on Saturday thats huge against Pittsburgh. Whoever wins that game gets the tiebreaker if these two teams are tied in a dead heat at the end of the season.

Plus this is the 4th game in 6 nights and you know Hank will be in against the Devils at home too, and beyond. If there was a game to get Vally in before the end of the season - this is it.

Not surprised at all, and actually kind of wanted Henrik to rest tonight, as it's probably the only game he'll be able to sit for down the stretch here.

Tonight is a huge 2 points they have to have.

They are barely a .500 team on the road and they have only 3 out of the 8 remaining games at home against the Devils, Habs and Flyers. All the games after this one are against playoff teams.

This would be a gigantic loss even though they have a little bit of room to breathe right now.

They need to get this done tonight and take it one game at a time, forget this 4-4 and you're in crap.

Gotta bring it tonight, protect Vally and finish the chances you have because Lehtonen was on fire before giving up 6 back to back in the last two games. Get on him early, shake his confidence and come away with 2 points. Anything else is a failure IMO.

Avery was very effective against Atlanta in that last playoff series with them, I wonder if he will have Kovalchuk chasing him tonight.

This is a much, much different team than the one I saw play in Atlanta at the end of 2008.

Agreed on all counts. I won't go as far as to say I expect a win because this is a pretty decent Atlanta side at the moment, but a loss would be a big, big blow given the schedule ahead. Has to be 2 points tonight.
