funny to find out that not only was Buttman at the game...but so was papa Stan. Per the Denver Post, Lacroix had to watch the whole game from the owners suite and didn't look happy doing so.
I'll never forget I was eating at a GREAT pizza restaurant in henderson, NV about a year & a half ago called Settebello. I was eating lunch with a co-worker when I looked down a few tables and sitting there was Lacroix with his wife & son, Eric. I was shocked but let them be as they were having a family lunch (man, Eric has gotten REALLY fat since his playing days... hard to even tell it's him).
As I was leaving with my friend we bump into Lacroix's wife who was wearing an Avalanche fleece. I say "Awesome jacket!" and we introduce eachother and I go on about how I'm a huge Avs fan. She tells me how they found out about the place... apparently Celine Dion lives next to them at Lake Las Vegas and her limo driver, from Rome, recommended it to them. She asked me if I wanted to go back into the restaurant and she would introduce me. I said thanks but no thanks, but I need to get back to work. OH how I wished this had happened some time this season... there is no denying I would've gone back in there & would've politely given Lacroix a dose of what Avs fans are feeling right now.
Don't get me wrong... Lacroix did take this team to the promise land twice (should've been there 2 more times than that). But, what's happening now isn't what the Avs are about. This organization should be better than that.
There's no need for me to beat the dead horse anymore. But, what the hell
This offseason needs to be EPIC.
