Arnott did skate for about 15 minutes today and is expected to continue his rehab barring setbacks this weekend. The team currently has no timetable for his return and will not under any circumstances rush a head injury back to the lineup. Expect an update on Monday, although don't expect an exact return date...

You can't rush a concussion- just can't do it. Legwand has a better chance of rushing back with a cage but my gut tells me he has a broken cheekbone. I thought Cal O was pretty good actually- better than I expected.

Cal was actually really freakin impressive, he looked right at home and held his own in the zone even though he was well undersized. He had some great looks and nice set-ups.

This is one thing the NHL does right, IMHO. They don't rush concussion cases. Unlike the NFL, for example. I think they are absolutely right in the baseline testing, etc. they use.

Our captain, WFME, has a concussion and has been day to day. I assume his backup (Enoch?) took a puck to the face while practicing his GDT.

Anyway, great (early) game today. Particularly sweet b/c of the 5 jerks sitting behind us that made the early going pretty miserable. Another great effort to come back.

If you’re wondering whether or not Preds center David Legwand could throw on some type of protective faceguard and play the last two games of the season, you’re not alone.

As a matter of fact, Legwand would like to do just that, according to Predators coach Barry Trotz.

But Legwand’s fractured cheekbone is still too fragile to absorb any hits, even if it was protected by a faceguard.

``Leggy is more than willing to do that,’’ Trotz said Tuesday. ``Unfortunately, the area where he might get hit … it’s not stable. It’s not stable enough for it to take the impact of a hit, even on the mask.

Legwand had an extremely good year for the Predators regardless. I am glad he is locked up as he is invaluable to this team (despite what some fans think about his draft position and success as a player).

this team's record with Legwand out of the lineup speaks for itself.
