Depth signing. Was a Marlie for the past four or five seasons till he went to Switzerland this year, guess there's no place like home.

Why? Burke really likes tossing around cash apparently.

I remember wanting Phoenix to draft this kid way back when he was eligible. IIRC, I wanted them to take him in the FIRST round!!!

Yes this puts a big hole in MLSE's pocket

Good depth signing. Signed for the rest of the year so it won't even go against our cap in the future.

Wasn't he already signed by TO? Why did he go to Switzerland?

really like this, i watched jay develop in junior with brampton, he could really control the tempo of a game, i didn't think either maurice or quinn gave him a fair shake, wouldn't it be something if he gets to play with big phil on defence, the battallion towers!!!!!!

Didn't want to spend another year with the Marlies, as there was no room for him on the Leafs roster.

Kaberle, Kubina, Finger, Van Ryn (though McCabe could've still been there when Harrison left, I can't remember), Colaiacovo, White, Frogren, Stralman.

Mr. Wilson might just take a likin to Jay.
He's a good team player who will drop the gloves if a fellow leaf is the victim of a cheapshot rather than turn a blind eye like many of the current softies. A new lease on an NHL life perhaps, otherwise no big deal.

I'll trade you Todd Fedoruk and an '09 seventh round pick for a sixth round pick in 2011.

Depth signing for the Marlies, seeing as how we're using Stralman and Oreskovic, and Pogge for that matter.

Could be a case of going over to Europe, not liking it and coming back perhaps? Then there's the potential thought process that under a Burke like regime Harrison may have a better shot at making the club as a bottom pairing/extra.

As much as I find Harrison to be a rather inconsequential(?) player, he looked like he was a very good guy to have around a club. A well spoken guy who would stick up for his teammates.

Was a rock for the Marlies, and he'll be someone they need for a lengthy playoff push.

yesterday they were saying on the Bruins broadcast that they signed Harrison so Stralman could try to help the Marlies get into the AHL playoffs.
