Going 3-0 this week is really key. It's our most easiest week until the end of the year and going 3-0 will all but guarantee us a playoff spot unless we choke badly in the last 4.

i really dont know what to expect. predictions are pointless with this team considering their inconsistent play and effort.

our 2 games against the islanders and leafs are MUST wins looking at our remaining schedule. but considering our horrible efforts against bottom teams who we have not even been able to beat at home lately, a win is anything but assured.

the following week we play good teams in which 2 are on the road where our play is even worse.

there have been many positives to draw out of our last 3 games and hopefully they can build off of it. ak46 needs to give a consistant effort when he is back to give us with 2 lines that can score. add in higgins recent inspired play and the lappy line grinding it out good things should happen.

I worry about the Chicago game. They got hammered by Vancouver last night so they might be damn hungry tomorrow. We need our A game from here on out. It's playoff hockey for the rest of the season! Should be an interested couple of weeks.

Go Habs Go!!

I agree, we need to go around 5-2, but we need a shutout. Price needs to put up a goose egg. This team needs to tighten up and give the goalie the chance to earn a shutout. That would go a long way. Also a victory against the Rangers, Leafs, and Boston would be a nice way to finish the season. Especially Boston, as we may play them in the 1st round.

one thing is for damn sure, the habs have they're destiny in they're own hands, play with heart and compassion, you'll be rewarded with a playoffs spot
the blame game has gone far enough, time for them to thighten up as a team and get ready for one hell of a ride

They can go up to 7th without help. The Rangers are now vulnerable.

3-3-1 should see them in, but I'd feel safer with 4-3.

They have to play like if it was a seven game playoffs series, no less !

They must win 4 games, and the one against the Rangers in particular.

Isles, Senators and Leafs are beatable. Not so ure against Boston, Pittsburg and Chicago.

I am more scared by the Panthers than by the Rangers. Habs have no game against Florida to stop them.

Those precious points lost against the Islers, Rangers and Buffalo couldmake the difference between playoffs and non-playoffs.

Chicago is in a more comfortable position than Montreal in the standings. Even if they come out hungry tomorrow we should be hungrier. There's no excuse.

My biggest concern about tomorrow's game is whether or not Chicago starts Huet. No doubt, he'll be pretty motivated and could stand on his head against us.

We NEED to beat the Rangers, Leafs, Sens, and Pens.
There is no excuse in losing to the Islanders.
Boston has had our number all season too.... no shock with a loss
As for Chicago they are a pretty good team and losing to them would be the one loss that would hurt the least... not to say it wouldn't hurt though....
5-2 we need to go

Its hard to say at this point what we need to do. 5-2 would give 96 points which yeah would likely get us in. But then FLA could go 6-0 and that would beat us. Or Buf could go 7-0 and they own the tie breaker, ya never know..

If Montreal goes 5-2, then two of the Rangers, Florida, or Buffalo need to essentially run the table to beat them, not just one. That's mighty improbable.

5-2 is complete surefire, but 3-3-1 will do it, IMHO.

With 93 points and 41 wins, Montreal would force Florida to go 4-1-1 in their last 6 -- a pretty tall order. Montreal holds the head-to-head tiebreaker, so merely tying the Habs won't do it for the Panthers. The Sabres face an even more daunting 5-1-1.

5-2 forces everyone else to run the table, but realistically, 4-3 should be good enough. Let's not forget the Rangers are actually behind Montreal in points-percentage now -- if Montreal the table the Habs are guaranteed at least 7th place.
