No it IS a UFC Fight Night.

UFC PPVs are held on Saturdays. TQS is showing live events on Wednesdays and Fridays, which is when Spike holds UFC Fight Night.

TQS WILL NOT BE SHOWING FREE PPV...

Which is funny because TQS mentions people will get to see GSP.. GSP doesn' do Fight Night, unless they replay an old fight... what a bunch of moron. Hey maybe Jean Pagé and the 110% crew will start covering MMA!

This is actually pretty cool. I don't have Spike, I always have to go to a friend to watch the Fight Night shows.

Apr. 1st card looks nice.

If anybody's interested, GSP was on OTR on friday, you can check it out on tsn.ca's video player.

He called out BGL saying that he'd be ready to fight him on the ring but not on the ice. That guy's awesome.

Outside of Griffin fighting, there isn't one really interesting fighter..

Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann should be pretty good. I'm excited to see what Condit can do in the UFC. And Kampmann is a pretty exciting fighter imo.

Jeremy Stephens vs. Gleison Tibau (although it's on the undercard) should also be a good one. Hopefully they'll show the fight.

Live events such as Ultimate Fight Night makes more sense.

The UFC get most of their money from charging 50$ for their PPVs. Unless it's some crappy card for promotional purposes, like it's been done in England and Ireland with Spike Tv, I don't see how they would agree to broadcast free big PPVs.

UFNs is probably what they're talking about as ''live events''.
Honestly, I don't think the UFC sells that much PPV here in Quebec, so it's maybe a good marketing strategy for them to sell the rights to TQS. That way, they make money out of somewhere they woudn't otherwise.

I'm watching right now. The french play-by-play guys they chose have monotone voices.

Well I was watching a bit of UFC Fight Night tonight on Rogers Sportsnet. I'm pretty sure that was the same one. It's probably on TQS to promote the UFC PPV event at the Bell Centre in a few weeks.

It's on TQS because they have agreed to a deal with UFC. It has nothing to do with promoting the UFC as it'll keep going after as well.

As for the show..can't blame Patrick Coté for being horrible at it, it's normal he's a fighter.
This Rej dude though is horrible.
Seriously my friend and I could do a much better job commentating those fights.

What's really funny about this is that I said after the fight to my friends that the hobo from the crowd gave BJ Penn the kiss of death, and that sealed his fate.

So far the presentation has been miles better than TKO(that was shown on TQS). The two guys doing play-by-play are have grown on me throughout the night as they've been great at explaining things. I can't get past the Michael Buffer imitator, though.

It's actually his brother, Bruce Buffer.
