No Brisebois!!!!

Happy to see Dandenault on D, he looked solid there in the third period on Tuesday.

Hopefully that 4th line plays no more than 5-6 minutes. (Other than Metropolit who will play more due to PK time)

Don't worry Guys, The Habs should win this one easily, The Islanders are on a Full tanking mode and thats because The Ave's have been tanking it to try and grab the first overall Pick.

The have a few Guys out..No worries...

Just thought I'd share an interesting fact..

..about the Higgins-Plekanec-Kostitsyn line..

..March 13, 2007..

..against..

..the Islanders!

It was their first game together, AKost had 3 assists.

CAT line!

I hope it works. I would have rather seen Sergei instead of Laraque but I guess its a good chance for George to prove his worth (I have criticised him in the past, I hope he proves me wrong).

Nice to see Dandenault on D instead of Patrice. Mat should help Hamrlik with his incredible work ethics and speed. I can't believe I'm happy to see this guy playing, especially on D. Last year the team having a wonderful season and him struggling really made us underrate him.

The Islanders are benching Their Starters, and we called up a lot of No names... So, Most of the people you see tonight are coming from the farm..

2 fighters?? BGL and Stewart, not too sure metro should be centering that line. He will have no one to pass him the puck, but if they can get the puck in deep they will be tough to move.

I love it.

The CAT line is back. Hopefully they play well together.

Dandy in over Breezer is fine by me. I'm glad to see him get another full game at D. Hopefully his arm stays intact this time.

Methinks Gainey wasn't a big fan of how the Isles tough guys gave it to the Habs last game. Word is Tim Jackman's office received an order to appear from Laraque's people earlier today. Hopefully he RSVPs.

I hope the Habs don't take them lightly and crush them. We have a tendency to slack when playing "easy" teams. The no-names you speak of should be hungry to prove themselves, this can be dangerous.

Anyways, good luck to you Islanders fans and lets hope for a good game. Ideal for everyone would be a good performance from your young players (so you guys can feel good about your future) but a Hab victory nonetheless because we really need that win (and you need a better draft pick)

That 4th line probably won't play much. I think Gainey is confident playing with no shut-down line tonight against that team since they don't have a single strong offensive trio or star players to watch. So we'll play 3 lines and see how they perform. I guess Higgins can double shift and play with Metro and replace Laraque for a few shifts if needed.

Last night against the Caps the Isles were trying to be very physical with Brashear out, so it's good that Laraque is on the bench atleast

I didn't see that but I can imagine that's their MO. Last game the Isles beat us up...
both Kosto and Stewart lost bouts (Rechilz(sp) and Jackman).

They have good speed and an aggressive forecheck. It's probably a good night for Patrice to be in the pressbox.

Look's like there'll be some smoke in the city

I know we say this everytime we play against Long Islands but with the way Higgins played lately and now on the second line, he's gonna have a great game.

Yea, your 100 percent right, It's the guys that have no name than can do some damage, Hey The habs, have to put a string of games together and get in. This is still a very good team, But they have to put it together.

The Islanders, will be a few years away before we can do anything, And we really need 1st pick in a bad way, Since Mibury and his circus have destroyed this team.

Its true, he always put up a strong performance in Long Island. Imagine if tonight marks the beginning of a new "Higgins on fire" sequence, just in time for the playoffs! You know, when he starts scoring a goal every two games for a month or two?

Of course getting ahead of ourselves is setting us up for disappointment, I simply hope Higgins can be more than a shell of his former cell. Same with Plekanec and Andrei, a good game could give them confidence and set them on the right track.

I hope the CAT line does well, we need another threat. I also expect Kostitsyn to score, fresh off his 1-game suspension. I mean seriously, 19 PIM's for wrasslin' a guy? Did he even throw a punch?

Anyway, I swear to god if Halak let's in another junior-league deflating goal like the Grabovski goal from 2 weeks ago... I want him off the team. Just tear up his contract. This stretch is the season, we cannot afford to get scored on from the corners.
