Which is why ESPN needs to get the NHL again. Gary and Bill as one team, and I'm liking Bucci and Mullet here.

Very good high school basketball game between Akrons St. V/St. M and Dayton Thurgood Marshall (used to be Col. White) for Div. II title. Akron pulled it out in the end, but it was a very exciting game, played at a pretty high level. And some of those Akron kids are going to go home and watch the video replay and see LaBron James jump out of his seat and cheer for a play they made! What a thrill!!!

Disappointing crowd at the Crew season opener today. 14,686 with 2,500 bussing down from Toronto. The result was equally disappointing.

Just read the re-cap from yesterday's Crew game in this morning's local rag. Sounds like a bunch of wannabes trying to get in on the hooliganism thing.

Sad, really.

"... multiple arrests", damaged railings and seats at the stadium. This kind of thing gives those of us who haven't seen a game second thoughts about the whole thing.

much of that was from the traveling TFC fans who were celebrating like they just won the World Cup.

a 1-1 draw on the road from an own goal against a team that is missing 3 starters does not merit the type of celebration that happened....but its Toronto what do you expect

i encourage you to come out to CCS and catch a game this spring/summer

Cutler is going to Chicago, per ESPN.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4037373

Quote:
To acquire Cutler, the Bears had to give up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 and 2010, along with a third-round pick in 2009.

To complete the trade, the Broncos had to give back a fifth-round pick in 2009. That pick was acquired by the Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks in a trade for wide receiver Keary Colbert.
