i am not sure about that ; may be he's from Quebec, but that doesn't mean that the name itself is french .I never hear this name ; may be his father is english , so then it will be Danisss

I know a couple french people with the name Danis. Pronounced Dah (as in yes in German) - nee (as in the joint in your leg)

See that one I would say is ''Huais'', while the other one I would say Daniss. Ah well, god loves us cause we just have to write it anyways. In a conversation I'll just wait til someone mentions him then i'll start talking.
