Hopefully he can bulk up some more this summer. He's got such a wide powerful skating stride that can support much more weight. Hopefully that will encourage him to get his nose dirty a little more..

Thx for the link thief50

This sheds some light on the Denis situation. I hope the yo-yo effect is the only reason of his struggles. This guy needs a good playoff run more than most. His future is riding on it.

Pacioretty out of the lineup tonight. The Dogs just had like 5 days off...

Please don't tell me we're gonna call him up again when he's clearly not ready?

Trotter breaks D'Agostini's Bulldogs record for fastest goal scored. Trotter scores 9 seconds in, beats D'Agos record by 2 seconds.

Patches has some bumps and bruises and is being rested. Did I miss an announcement or is Conboy's broken ankle a new thing?

They were also without Andrew Conboy, who suffered a leg injury Saturday. He may be out four to six weeks.

Yannick Weber is having an amazing season, didn't realise he was doing so well.

15 goals are you kidding me? Makes former teammate Kindl look like rubbish.

He still has work to do on his game in his own zone but for a first year player, he has been fantastic for us.

Encouragingly, Carle has stepped it up lately too. Weber has been putting up the better numbers but Carle has been the more solid player. Hopefully that bodes well for the future of both players within the organization.

Can you tell me a bit on Desharnais? ..despite his small frame, he looks like an interesting prospect.. Is he playing center or Trotter is?

I thought Carle was great tonight (even though Derek was suprised he got the workhorse). He threw a ton of hits while picking his spots well, and seemed to remember that he was a decent puck carrier.

Some are mad we didn't get Bozak, but our own Brock Trotter is on fire lately! How is he doing in Hamilton? Is he pro material if he continue to develop?

I guess in the end it had to do with hype and frame. The hype was obviously way bigger with Bozak. The frame is also much different. Not only is Trotter small but he plays small as well.

from what I've seen of him I've been pretty impressed.

Looks like he's headed for a 50 point season. That's pretty good considering it's his first full year of pro hockey.

And the leading scorer in Hamilton should end the season with around 60 points...

Weber, Trotter and Maxwell and Patches all had very good seasons by rookie standards. Very encouraging.

I had no idea he was producing to that extent.

I also would like to know if he's playing center...

you can add Desharnais and White too.

This team is filled with young rookies that have had great rookie seasons. I am very excited about the playoffs. The team has been very good and a lot of the youngsters have really had a good end to the regular season. The should be very dangerous in the post season.

Desharnais is playing centre on that line with Trotter on his left, Glumac on his right.

DD is a small guy who plays the game like a bigger guy who isn't afraid to get involved in areas where size and strength are often very useful. He doesn't play an aggressive style of game like some smaller guys try to, but he does play a very tenacious game, he'll chase anyone down, he'll work the corners/boards, goes to the net and will always try and hastle the puck carrier.

He's a good skater with some impressive vision. He can make some great passes and as is clear from his stats this year, knows how to put the puck in the net. He isn't as flashy as Trotter who loves to deke guys out, make behind the back passes and the like, but DD has some good puck control although I think he may be able to show more of this in the future than he is showing now.

I'd love to see this guy get a shot in the NHL, wherever it may be as he leaves it all on the ice, it was great to see how happy he was with his hat-trick last night.

To an extent, yes. But to be fair to him, he goes into high traffic areas regularly and he likes to cut inside with the puck and take it to the net. He's no Pacioretty but he plays his part and works hard to help his line be successful.
