I have to admit, I was being selfish. I wanted 10. I had never seen them score more than 6 before this season, so with a 7-spot in December, and 8-spot in April, I'll be looking forward to double digits one of these days.

Whatever Holmgren said, they got the message.

I've seen the Leafs be involved in some strange games, this is just another. It's good that the Flyers put their foot back on the pedal in the 3rd because they needed those last two goals.

You like to see the team play 60 minutes every night, but it's not a bad thing if in blowouts they are able to take the occasional period off just to relive the mental edge, as there will be and have been plenty of games where that isn't possible.

I wonder where Homer drove Carter and Richards to? The river? lol

GKJ, do you recall the last time they wore white at home (this season, last season I do not remember)?

That was the only two times this season, I don't recall it off the top of my head last year. Why did they even do it?

I too hate that kid. I dont know why he is complaining. The Leafs sucks and he knows it. They've sucked for a long time. Keep whining about not having Carter. A year ago Leafs fans were saying no way to a Kaberle/Carter trade because Kaberle was this far superior player. Blah i hate whiny Leaf fans.

  • 9-3 vs. Vancouver, March 26, 1977

  • 8-5 vs. Toronto, April 3, 2009
as i already posted in this gdt somewhere, i received this via twitter, while the game was still on:
"Last time Flyers scored 5 in first period: Nov 15 2006 at Anaheim, a 7-4 win."
That would make it at least 6 times.

That was a 5-1 lead, not a 5-0 lead.

The score was 1-1 at one point and the period ended 5-2.

I listed periods that ended 5-0.

Most (if not all) of you were probably all cozy in bed and sleeping soundly when I finally got to watch this game. What can I say? Claude Giroux is quickly becoming my favorite player. Carter with a hatty. Loveliness.

I don't know if anyone already posted this, but I seem to remember the Leafs doing the same thing with goalies in a game last season (don't think it was against the Flyers). Except last season I think it went: Toskala-Gerber-Toskala. Weird.
