I like both helmets, but don't know which to get. I had a 4500 for this season, and had a 5500 for past years, but it seems everywhere you go everyone has a 4500.
Skates:
S15's or SE16's(Not white) or XXXX's?
I don't know. I've been looking, and I haven't even had a chance to look for it, as no store has my size(12 1/2 skate). Which is better?
Shoulder Pads:
Farrel H500's or Vapor XXXX's?
Honest debate on what I should get. Help appreciated!

I would stay away from Easton skates, terrible durability. Take the 5500 bucket, safer, and IMO better looking. As for shoulders, if I am thinking about the right ones, the Farrells are pretty weird looking, and the XXXX's are stylish, and compact, but still offer protection. My two cents

I know about Durability. I'm going to edit the OP a bit.
Easton skates have gotten a lot better in terms of durability in recent generations. And they feel and perform great.
But as for the bucket, the 5500 is a gel padding, the 4500 is a traditional foam. It's really a matter of preference. Personally I like the gel, so I have a Bauer 5000 (predecessor to the 5500) and it works great for me.
And try those skates on BTW- all brands will have shape and sizing differences. I wear a 7 in easton, but would probalby wear a 6 or a 6.5 in a bauer.
All I can say is I love my Easton skates, and the entire XXXX line is going to be overpriced for the foreseeable future.
That is what I am looking at also. S15's are about $70 cheaper than the XXXX's and they're lighter. I'm going to try the skates on tomorrow, and I'll see from there. Thanks everyone for the input!
Alright, just got back from the store. I got XXXX skates, they were just so comfortable on my feet. I also got a 5500, they didn't have a 4500 so it doesn't matter. I also got the Farrel H600 shoulder pads. Sorry NYRSinceBirth I didn't even get a chance to put on XXXX's that's how good the Farrel's felt. I also picked up a pair of XXR roller skates.
