2014 Olympics

What would our team look like?

I'll start with..

Bolded in the NHL right now.

Zetterberg - Bäckstrom - Eriksson

MSP - Berglund - Moller

Lasu - Sedin - Sedin

Tedenby - Josefsson - Lander

E.Karlsson - Hedman

Edler - Kronwall

Enstrom - Grossman

Strålman/Berglund

Lundqvist
Markstrom

Feel free to swap my choices with the ones you believe will be on the roster, It's ofcourse hard to know how the younger players will pan out.

Not sure the Sedins will still be there.

Bruunstrom on the first line and Stralman, OEL and Rundblad ahead of Erik Karlsson?

What is the surprise here?

OEL has probably more potential than Erik, and Rundblad is at least as good as Erik now even though he is younger.

Though I think in 2014, Erik will be a part of the team.

brunnstrom still has great potential, he has 14 goals on the year despite limited games and icetime.

It might be prudent not to include future NHLers on this teams

We should just get a european league going.

If we could get all the euros playing here instead, it'd be better than the NHL.

How many of the best 50 players in the world today are europeans...atleast 25?

Take the top-10 skaters today..

Ovechkin
Datsyuk

Crosby
Malkin
Lidstrom
Kovalchuk

Iginla
Zetterberg
Hossa
Chara

Something like that?

And the olympics without any NHL:ers would enhance swedens chance of winning drastically.

How will it work?

Also, stop panic, it's long way to go before 2014.

Red players needs to go.

MSP will be a super star in the NHL in a few years, I'm sure of it. Noone is mentioning Backlund, he'll be a second liner in Calgary by then.

We have alot of guys between 15-20 who will become our next golden generation. It's been a loooong time since we've had the level of talent of those age groups.

I'm not sure the Sedins will make the team in 5 years.

Hedman a number 7-8 defenseman? This is 2014 we are speaking about. He will be 23.

Overall, this roster has too little 90-91 players IMO.
