I'm just ready for training camp to start.

Please be better next year.

NOW you're depressed?

This season's more or less been a train wreck since October, giving us very little to be happy about.

Gonna be a long offseason, but I'm looking forward to it. Nothing else to do, really.

Are you depressed because Tom Hicks might sell the team?

October? You're an idiot if you didn't think it was over in September, or even on July 2.

$10 says you weren't thinking this in the offseason.

Oh, no way. I was just joking around. Nah, I thought the Stars had a good chance to repeat last year's success, even through November if you can believe it. It was how the team started playing in December and January that led me to believe they didn't have it, followed by a latter season collapse.*

*They may have won, but they weren't playing well and were, once again, too reliant upon one player to carry them to victory. It's been a trademark of the Stars under Tippett.

Modano on the post game...

he'll be back, he'll know that this seasons luck couldn't get any worse, that he cannot have a crappier 2nd half of a season, that the injuries will not be as bad next season, that we will have a legitimate shot at the cup. At least I hope he'll be.

Someone who posts very infrequently of late, whom I shall not name, called out Modo for some opinion Modo wrote a couple of months ago, starting the rebuttal with, "you're an idiot if you believe." That was the basis of my reply to Modo, and nothing more.

Same with mine actually, same unnamed person called someone a dumbass, so I thought it would be amusing to keep it going.

I got it and laughed.

By the way, Dallasman, why would you only be willing to bet $10? I mean that bet would have been as good as gold.

I had $10 sitting right in front of me...haha. But of course, that's Canadian money so it would only be like $6 for you

That and hopefully Hull would "convince" him to come back for one more season if he started to lean towards not returning.

Crap man. I got really depressed right after Morrow went down. I made the smart-asss comment to me sister "there goes the season", not really believing that. And I know it wasnt just Morrow going down that made the entire season crap the bed, but man, ya gotta admit that was definitely one of the bigger reasons for this seasons craptitude.
