Scratch that.

I want Holmgren to buy a big old yellow school bus, and plan the route...picking up each player and driving them to the game. On road trips, he takes the team to the arena.

This would be super effective.

In the paper today it said those few games Jones missed was because of pain he had in his repaired hip. He took a cortisone shot back in March, but it's been restricting his movement. Well, we know why they've been sucking extra lately.

According to Chuck Gormley, Biron is expected to start three of the next four games with Niitty starting at the Islanders.

Isn't Biron the one who has the stellar record against the Isle though? I believe he is 5-0 against them this year. This would be like starting Biron against the Thrashers... just ludicrous.

Anyway, as for the game tonight, this will be the epitome of a playoff game. The Panthers are going to come out with all they've got for sure. Our defense has to be great tonight (I do not have an easy feeling in my stomach about this).

I'm probably wrong (MSE will know), but I think Biron started the last game against the Thrashers. I remember thinking it was odd. Once we get to the Islanders, if we play like we're supposed to until then, I wouldn't care if Cote started in net.

Nope, Niity is 4-0 against the Thrashers this year.

If we want to get home-ice (which something totally up in the air right now) we need to win these last 4 games, this includes the Islander game. I don't care what other teams do, we need to win our games, that is the bottom line (cuz Stone Cold said so (sorry I couldn't resist)). Why wouldn't they play the goalie who hasn't lost to the team all year?

Niittymaki started all four games against Atlanta this season.

Biron does have the lengthy streak against the Islanders but the way the immediate games play out could result in a different thought process. I didn't agree with the weekend Biron played against the Islanders and Niitty against Boston about 10 days ago, thought it should have been reversed but Stevens played the numbers (Biron strong against NYI and Niitty better against Boston).

Is it bad if Habs/Rangers hater in me is a bit torn? Can the Flyers at least give the Panthers a point?

I want the Flyers to win in OT, so Florida can get a point and make things that much more less fun for Montreal

The four games left are against Florida, the Rangers twice and the Islanders. If they're going to give Biron one night off, I'd prefer it to be against the Isles, especially since the season finishes with a back-to-back with the Isles/Rags. He may have a great streak going against them, but the Flyers should be able to beat the Isles regardless of who is between the pipes.

No problems at all Jules

let's just win this one, I don't care if it's an overtime win, a shootout win, or whatever. Let's get two points. I'm not worrying what other teams do. If we win our games, we get home ice and that's all that matters now.
