Not true. Last year he worked well with Pleks and Kovy. The year before, he, Pleks and Higgins carried the team down the stretch. This year, he has performed well when on a line with Lang and Sergei, with Koivu and D'Agostini, with Plekanec and Pacioretty and got at least one point in the one game he played (around mid-season) with Lapierre and, I think, Laraque.
And while he isn't playing his best, he still plays more physically than people give him credit for. This year, he is currently 4th on the team in hits among forwards (with more hits per game than Lappy who has slightly more overall) and 6th on the team outright. He's already outhit Hamrlik by a significant margin in less games. He may not be playing a complete game of late, but he isn't completely sitting around waiting for the puck to bounce off him and into the net. Yet he rarely gets even a nod of recognition for this side of his game this year.
*nods at Andrei in recognition*
Tonight's game is masssssssssive. I hope to god we win tonight, clinch and get it over with. I can't wait to get home from work and fire up this game. I've pulled out all the lucky stops today, and I have taped my fingers and toes crossed.
What I find interesting about the Schneider situation, is that it was never confirmed by the team. TSN just said "according to reports". If these "reports" were from the guy on Habs I/O, someones gonna get injured. Anyway, let's just prey for the best.
Big two points tonight! GO HABS GO!
