And picked up Metropolit, who is more useful right now than Chipchura, at more or less the same NHL salary.

Considering Gainey has half the bloody team to re-sign or not, this offseason should be quite interesting. Whether it be through trades or free agency (can someone, anyone, please come play here, jesus!) Gainey will be active...I hope...

since you say 'trade', it seems that you refre to a particular trade. What are you referring to ?

He's definitely talking about THE trade.

You know, the one where we bring in a superstar for a package including Higgins and O'Byrne as the major players involved.

I hope he signs Mathieu Schneider, to make up for not trading for him. I think he would be a really good fit on the PP, and a steadying presence at even strength. Oh wait...

So we replace 50+ goals for 29? Isn't it two straight seasons that Vinny has had major surgeries?

hey , there are going to be other players to replace the Kost brothers ; Latendresse , D'Agostini or Maxpac . It could be Havlat who will be free agent , and who lives in Montreal during the summertime .

Oh man, getting Havlat and Lecavalier would be a dream come true!
I would seriously make a pitch for Havlat this summer

Gonna be hard for him to trade when he is made coach and replaced at GM. Honestly he is a below average GM and a above average coach, it's time to play to strengths.

To make up for the trades he did not do? Come on! The team was playing great last week and we were on the verge of becoming a dominant team. The trade that had to be made was done (Schneider), and the thing that had to be done was done (changing the team system).

But I do expect to see many changes this summer. The core will be changed a little, and the Kost bros and Plekanec might leave
