i think nodl or ross should be up to play with briere and giroux...because neither asham or carcillo are really working too well. let the skilled guys play with the skilled guys and let the energy guys play with the energy guys.

giroux, briere and ross would be tiny, need some size there.

If it is true that:

a) Jones is ailing, and
b) Parent could be nagged by his groin, then

it should be Sbisa at 12th forward.

Playing a 19 year old defenseman at forward in the playoffs is a non-option. Just go with 7 defensemen and double shift Carter or Richards.

Asham seems to be a better finisher although a bit slower than Carcillo. He also seemed to have some chemistry with Giroux.

isn't sbisa a defenseman? so he would be your 7th dman...stevens already showed he has more faith in sbisa then kuks.
is going with sbisa as a 12 th forward who can give you minutes on d any worse then kalinski? i mean for the 5 minutes of ice time they will get i would like to have the flexibilty sbisa offers? sbisa probably played more NHL gms then kalinski at this point and you can still double shift richards, carter and giroux.

I still think the speed Ross would bring is our best bet. I could get behind 11 forwards and 7 D, if only the choices were not just Kukks and Sbisa. Plus, I think Stevens has said in the past that he doesn't like to dress 7 Dmen.

I believe I have heard that as well. however, what is the logic behind, why he doesn't like to dress 7? That makes absolute no sense. Anyone care to give me a heads up? I've been thinking about that since last game, when Parent went down.

My only guess would be insisting on four full lines of forwards.

Take out Carcillo. Put Asham on his line.
Put in Kalinski, Powe, Nodl/Ross as our fourth.

Carcillo hasn't done anything except take some dumb penalties. We don't need that in the playoffs and Asham/Powe bring just as much, if not more, energy to their game than Cancerillo

yes! can we please?

if by some crazy reason that doesn't happen though, my vote is to put noodle on the 3rd line.
