Isn't there a rule about the # of call ups you can have after the trade deadline to the end of the season? I thought I saw this someplace once and it was only 4 call ups they get. With Cote being out I think Nodl has been up and down twice, Syvret once. That means just one more AHL call up until the end of the season and maybe they don't want to use it? Maybe someone else can confirm this. This guy would not count toward the 4 call ups I should think. Just a theory.

Another good point. Im not quite sure what the rule is, but it is something like 3 callups

I know, I still haven't seen all of Season 5. I wish I had HBO.

I have Curbed and Entourage on DVD up until the most recent releases. I bet Entourage 5 doesn't release until August though.

Entourage Season 5 was rather disappointing. It's not all it's cracked up to be anymore.

My former roommate and I were watching an episode in November and he was like, "Damn man, they haven't really done anything this season."

And it made me think. When have they done anything at all? Isn't that the point?

Put Carle with the new guy. Maybe?
that would be a horrible decision. Carle needs someone who's possitionally sound because he's so often beat going wide or out of position defensively.

I think it would be really cool if the guy ended up being a beast. I wonder if he was a Flyer fan growing up.

Sbisa is probably still unavailable for whatever reason.

Alberts had one of his worst games. Especially early on, he turned the puck over and was unable to handle the puck pretty consistently. I don't really understand how anyone who was watching could argue otherwise. He fumbled the puck almost every time he had it, and not just small plays, ones that created scoring chances for the Panthers, and killed at least two for us.

How is this Sloane able to play? NHL teams can't sign guys to ATO's and let alone have them in the lineup. He had to have been signed to the contract unless there is some clause I'm unaware of. I don't recall any player being able to play in the NHL on an ATO since its inception.

For those of you who live in the Northeast, this kid is the son of the guy who owns Sloane Honda/Toyota. So my best guess is somewhere someone is getting a free car out of this for their kid to play 1 game and not lose it for the Flyers. If he logs more than 6 minutes I'll be shocked.

It was an emergency signing. He's only with the Flyers for a 24 hour period.

As I understand it (I put a query out), ALL players must be signed to an SPC, which means they get paid, and be making money, and be on your cap. If you could sign guys to ATO's and have them up for one game, I'm sure we wouldn't be the first team since the lockout to do it. The Flames ran out 16 skaters for a few games this week because they couldn't call anyone up, I'm sure they searched up and down the CBA to find other ways to fill out a roster.

I was at that game, and I though he played pretty well. Then again, jones inability to do anything quickly on his hip leading directly to a panthers goal may have made alberts look better. The avg looking girl hanging out with a group of ugly chicks theory. Alberts played great in the 3rd though.

I don't watch entourage so I thought that was Mia Sara from ferris bueller. Forgot about that whole 'aging' thing.

This should be fun. There's a pretty good chance we'll see a few hundred posts saying the guy should permanently replace jones/alberts. He doesn't have to do much.

I was there too, he had at least two clears that were blocked, and two others where he lost the puck out of the zone. When the team tightened up, so did he, but he was terrible and Jones was too. When it comes down to it, I have no faith in that pair because of the mistakes they make with the puck.
