It's too bad half the posts in this thread are by one guy.

Good to see Nashville still in the race.

Wow. The Preds never say die...really impressive actually.

Here's hoping for all 5 central division teams to make it!

Just got home from my morning Chinese class with a feeling that we actually pulled out a win, pulled up the score and booyah! Arnott sounds like he had a massive game, and for us to come back after being down 3-1, hell yeah!!!

There is still a chance!!!

We just go out and play our game against Minny, get the win and hope the rest of the pieces fall into place.

Nothing like walking up to the edge of the void, peering into it, having the void peer into you... and then strolling away with a smile. That is as close to death as a team can get.

Could the BJ's really save our bacon tomorrow night? Can we take the Wild 1-0?

I give this team a lot of credit- they have played since the all star break in a way that has made this season highly entertaining. Not bad for a team that has played most of the year with 4 top 6 players (and a stretch recently with 2 top 6 players).

Tune in tomorrow...

Looking over the highlights...

It looked like De Vries tipped the first goal inadvertently. Rinne had no shot if that was the case.
On the Lidström goal, it was a classic Holmström screen. Rinne had no chance.
Third goal was a result of an Arnott turnover and Weber being out of position halfway between the goal and the end boards.
Pekka Rinne was absolutely incredible tonight. He made some borderline-miraculous saves and kept us in it all night. The OT save on Zetterberg was truly remarkable.
Arnott has a wrist shot?! WTF?

OMG!!!!! Woooo!

I didn't know what to think when we were down 3-1. I kind of had thought that Osgood had picked this game to start getting hot because of the saves he was making earlier in the game. I was about ready to cry.

But WOW. What a comeback...again... IN DETROIT yet!

I you Captain, Pekka, Ville. Oh hell, I all of the Preds for this win!

Now go do this again in Minnesota on Friday!!!!

(but, uh, let's take care of business in regulation and early )

I thought it was fiddler that deflected the puck with his knee.

On the Lidstrom goal it wasn't so much that Pekka was screened. The problem was (and why Pekka was so mad) that the guy, don't know who right this minute not looking at the replay, to his left while trying to tip the puck actually knocked Pekka's glove down and he couldn't catch the puck. Frame by frame you can actually see the stick bend as he is pushing down on the glove hand.

Legwand and Erat have a large part in the PK they are usually the first and third set of PK forwards so with both of them being out at the same time......

LOL How many lives does this cat have? I can imagine how much this annoys the haters, and we have plenty.... hehe I love it.

You gotta be proud no matter what happens, this is the first time we won the series against the Wings, that's a positive for this season. Arnott is the man, he's carrying us right now. Somebody take Fiddler off the shootout and replace him with anyone, it worked one time Oh well we just have to hope that the Jackets don't lay down, its our best chance if they win in regulation. The pressure is all on the Blues now.

Oh man I hope we win tonight even if we don't get in to stick it to Leipold

Way to go boys

We won the season series against Detroit, and most of our wins were down the stretch when it mattered the most. You have to be proud of this team. We still need some help to make the playoffs, but the boys sure have earned it regardless of what happens.

This was the biggest win of the year, bigger then the 8-0 blowout. Now we just have to stay focused for Minny tonight.

what kind of bizarro world do you live in when you match up better against the Red Wings than you do the Blue Jackets?!

The same bizzaro world the jackets reside in when they go 0-4 vs. Phx and 2-0 vs. Wash (both 3-0 shutouts), 3-3 vs. wings and 2-2 vs. SJ. There is no sense to this sometimes!

Hamhuis was the d-man that was there with Holmstrom but Datsuck was the Redwing that was off to Pekka's left that actually had his stick all over Pekka's glove on that goal.
