thank you ducks... a regulation win would have been nicer, but we'll take it.

The flames are in control now. Just have to keep ahead of the Nucks and get that win on Tuesday.

Tonight is one of the rare nights I will be hoping for an Edmonton win. Ugh really don't like that I have to hope for an oilers win.

We'll lose for you, don't worry.

Let's keep the tanking procedure ongoing.

Back on top of the division after that oilers win. Thought they were going to blow it to be honest, but thankfully they held on.

Not a chance Colorado can do the same so it is looking like that Tuesday matchup is going to decide the division.

Yup, seems that way. Hopefully we can take the LA game, or we'll definitely be behind the 8-ball going into Tuesday's game.

Wow, the Avalanche doing us a HUGE favour tonight, beating the Canucks 4-1! I can't say I saw that one coming, but I like it! Thank you Colorado!

Thank You T.J. Galiardi. The Calgary boy comes up big for the Avs and helps out his hometown. The division is in our control now.

Canucks win 1-0 over the Avs to secure the NW division crown after being down 15 points 10 weeks ago.

it was 12 points... and since that point the Flames have lost 1/3 of their roster to injuries and always several out at once

The canucks also had injuries to key guys like Luongo and Salo for long periods of time so I don't know whats your point.

The point is that Flames fans have every right to point out their injuries as an excuse for losing the division by 2 points just like you guys have never become tired to point out that Luongo and Salo were injured for quite some time and that this was the true reason why the Canucks were down by 12 points at some point this season.

there is apparently plenty you dont seem to know... you point out 2 key players for being out for long periods... ok so you were missing 1 goaltender and 1 defenseman... any depth on the blueline at all and you can sustain the injury to Salo... Luongo is a huge blow but if the team played well in front of him you can make up for injuries to goaltenders... Columbus played decent without Mason, Jersey did great without Marty... so as has been shown by 2 other playoff teams you can overcome your #1 goalie being hurt... but how many teams this season overcame 3 of their top 6 forwards being out at the same time for a month?... how many teams had 4 of their top 6 defensemen out during a division title race?... no one is questioning Luongo is a better player than any 1 of the flames players that were hurt... but when you are talking about using either 4 forwards from the farm or 3 rookie defensemen at a time your team is seriously ****ed

The Flames were up 13 points on the Canucks plus 2 games in hand (hence why I said 15 points) at one point... but let's not argue about details. The Canucks win the division and start round one against either the Jackets or Blues with home ice advantage. The Flames start on the road against the Hawks. I think we all know who got the better end of the deal here. Don't worry, I won't be making any further posts here at the risk of sounding like a troll.
