Best Montreal games from the 2008-09 regular season

Guys,

Each year I keep the best 5 games from the Habs regular season. Here's my current list of 6 finalists... which games are missing in your opinion, which one of these shouldn't be kept ? (personal French comment kept in brackets)

- Match 21 - Montréal Canadiens @ Detroit Red Wings (contre les champions)
- Match 27 - Calgary Flames @ Montréal Canadiens (ambiance enflammée)
- Match 40 - Toronto Maple Leafs @ Montréal Canadiens (festival de pénalités)
- Match 41 - Washington Capitals @ Montréal Canadiens (jusqu'à la dernière seconde)
- Match 61 - Vancouver Canucks @ Montréal Canadiens (du grand Halak)
- Match 81 - Montréal Canadiens @ Boston Bruins (un match à rebondissements)

6 games. That's about the total of all good games they have played.

The first ever Caputi Hat Trick.

Caputi scores on his first NHL shot/shift.
Caputi takes a minor penalty
Caputi scores into his own net

Caputi Hat Trick.

the favourite game for me was the game in which we thrashed the Leafs at home.

the one where Grabovski went crazy against the reff.

All the games we have won against the Flyers

-The first game against them where everyone would think we'd get owned like in the playoffs
-The game where Komisarek came back, we were coming off a 3 game streak I think and instead of losing 7-2 like some posters here said, we won 5-2
-The game with the OT winner by Schneider

Also
-The Lapierre hat trick vs the Panthers
-The Lang hat trick vs Rangers
-The Koivu winner in OT against the Oilers
-The 6-3 win over the Thrashers, who marked the birth of the Tanguay-Koivu-Kovalev line, where Tanguay scored that highlight reel goal and that turned the end of the season around when we had no hope.
(God we were on a roll, too bad Schneider and Markov getting injured made us lose our last 4 games)

Up and down season, but we still had good moments

This is my pick, especially since I was there live and it was total madness.

I liked the one with Grabovski acting like a total little ****.

Otherwise, pretty forgetful overall..

The Canadiens played hockey this year?

Seriously though, I liked the rangers game on Dec. 2nd iirc. I think it was the best game cause it was the ONLY game that we looked like last year (minus a few flashes in other games).

I may be biased cause I was there, but some of the passing was beautiful and reminiscent of 07-08

The one game I watched live this season, November 11th against the Sens. Great all-round effort on the part of the Habs. Gave me my money's worth.

Good choice! Higgins with a hat trick and a shutout for Price.
